Hey,

Ski Roundtop is hosting an on-snow rail jam on October 9th at 2PM. You should all come out and jib, it's gonna be pretty sick. I guess they are importing snow from somewhere.. www.skiroundtop.com

wow! i cant believe how active this forum is. Anyways, there are going to be tons of freeskiers there, probably close to like 50 or so. So all of you dudes better show up, it's gonna be off the hook. I'll let you know more info when i find it out, or just keep checking the website.

'Hello,

It will be a competition first with an entry fee, but I’m sure we’ll open it up to others after the event. The entry fee will all be used for prize money. Of course, it’s not going to be 2’ of powder, snow is hard to come by in October – but it will be enough to have a true rail jam.

seems the comp will be going off, i know the K2 snowboard team from the east coast will most likely be there, my friend from it has gotten most the team, and were rolling out, i just got a hook up from Dalbella boots, so i hope have a bunch of free shit to maybe give out, depends how quick the deal goes thru too bad i wont be on the krypton just yet i need custom boots, but anyway, i hope all u guys are ready for a kick ass time!

Lots of people have been asking about the rail, so here is the most recent update.

Hi Jason,

There will at least be a variation of a flat/down rail – but the mountain manager has something unusual planned with it – not sure what that is! If the weather stays cool and dry, we may have enough snow for more than one rail. I checked out the thread – we are about 2 hours from center city Philly – most of it Turnpike (take Harrisburg West exit to I-83 south, Lewisberry exit). Entry fee is $10. Ski and Board divisions. Winners will split 100% of the entry fees for prizes – we’re just doing this for fun and to say thank you to the free skiers & riders who supported us so strongly last season.



This year we’ll have an even better super pipe (wider pipe, better snowmaking), doubled the size of the Bunker Hill park and a huge new park on Exhibition. We will also keep the learning pipe in front of the lodge and add an incubator park right next to it. We’re also offering intro to terrain park clinics.



The jam should be a lot of fun, we have had piles of e-mails from at least 3 states so far.

here is some more info from their site

The on-snow Rail Jam will take place on Saturday October 9 at 2:00 pm. Entry fee is $10.00. All registration will take place on Saturday. If you are under 18, you will need a parent signature - we will post a release for download today. There will be ski and board divisions. Winner takes all in each division. The rail will be a flat/down box rail, with more possible depending on snow coverage.

last year the park and pipe dudes built like 10 rails.. so i doubt they will borrow a rail.. they seem to enjoy building them.

and, nobdoy really knows that this flat down thing is going to be.. maybe a flatbar rail, or a square rail, or a box.. who knows

i like it, it was made by Railbuilders so it slides like a box should compared to the othe box's liberty got. Day (of railbuilders) builds some sick shit, althought the lonegvity of that box isn't real good
