how is ellicottville?

i have a chance to move to western new york and was wondering what the town is like to actually live in. i have been to HV but never spent time in the town. besides the fact that it is down the road from HV, what are some good things about it. What sucks about ellicottvile? what should i avoid. any thoughts from some locals would be super appreciated. i will be working outside of buffalo and want to live somewhere near HV. suggestions? not afraid to drive

springville, its where the 219 expressway ends, right on the way to holiday from buffalo...like 20 minute drive to holiday from there, and kissing bridge is like a 10 minute drive too

theres a pretty good local bar scene I guess, party town. Mostly people coming in for the weekends and stuff. I think property is pretty expensive, a lot of the houses are vacation homes. Its a nice town. Somewhere like springville would probably be better if you're working near buffalo, or any of the little towns around there.

ya I've got a condo there, there are some good restaurants (tips up, silver fox), and clubs and stuff from what i hear, but I bet it gets slow there during the summer

hey thanks for the replies. i am heading up this weekend to check out Eville and all the surrounding areas for a place. i am hoping this works out because i can think of nothing better than being able to ski HV everyday (well maybe squaw valley but you know what i mean)

hey i have a season pass to holiday valley. its a great place for around here. good bar seen. if you like blue grass there are some great bands that play at the bars every week.
