PIPE ON, DUDES
Stevens Pass, Wash., has acquired a Bombardier H.P.G. R-17 pipe cutter from the 2002 Olympics and took it to town, so to speak. It created the wildly popular superpipe in Stevens’ Bent Monkey Terrain Park last season and it’ll be back. The 450-foot Olympic-standard pipe has 17-foot-high walls, letting boarders and skiers gain serious speed and, hence, amplitude. It helps too that the landing zone is increased – more time and space for bigger tricks and safer landings. Click here to visit.
