Replying to Left my Canon connected to a Monitor via HDMI overnight

It was stupid but I did that. I had my camera (Canon T3i) connected to a monitor via HDMI cord and then turned the camera off and then the monitor off. Then, the next day, when I tried turning the pair back on, the monitor was fine, but the camera began glitching to the point where it was unable to take photos and the display was inoperable and wouldn't turn on.

I haven't had to use my camera since (approx. 2 months), but I got a photo gig tomorrow and the two cameras I had lined up to borrow both fell through, so I am back to my OG guy. It's working alright now, but I am definitely nervous in case things fall apart on set.

All of that aside, did I burn my camera out somehow? Is it recoverable?
