I agree with Sofa, most of them are a lil cheesy for my (impeccable) taste in topsheets, but yea they're solid. And everyone i know that has them, or bring into the shop are head over heels for them which is really all that matters. I've also never seen them perish in the same way Lines do
My buddy has two pairs, he swears by em. We’ve got the EXACT same boot sole length so we can interchange skis. I ripped his Jay Ski Allplays a lot. Good skis, good durability, can’t say anything bad about em.
Dispute what people think about their brand image, marketing, and topsheets etc. J skis is an objectively good brand that makes good skis and will have great customer service. It’s not my cup of tea but that’s okay, I can acknowledge and respect the companies many objective positives.

PartyBullshiitThis is NS. Image is everything. Lol
Idk maybe for kids but for a lot of us I think support for companies like Vishnu, ON3P, HG and so on are a little deeper than the brand image. Supporting riders, projects, events, quality, ownership, etc.

There store in Burlington is pretty sick it’s got like a tv and shit but I would also only ride there skis if I did a lil diy top sheet. Sometimes I just don’t know who they are catering to either. Their whole vibe screams spring skiing idk why
Farmville420I ride them and have nothing but positive things to say. Also my favorite take on the brand:
I'm gonna respectfully disagree about the graphics concept. Jskis is way more all over the place with their graphics, like doing collabs with jerry of the day. Vishnu topsheets are all photorealistic, the jskis topsheets, for the most part, do not look similar to vishnus.

on a related note it's crazy how few ski companies put out good team videos
i cant believe we are just answering this thread as if calling it jay skis wasnt a troll move but okay ill bite lol
@J_skis was started on this site and dont you fuckin forget it! the first pair was a pair of allplays called first! which was an ode to the old NS (among other sites) tradition of being the top comment. the second pair was a pair of whipits that were a collab with a NS contest for
designing the graphics. still think that topsheet is the greatest top sheet of all time but i may be bias since i have pair 2 of 50.
they are made locally in Canada in the same factory as rmu and its high quality stuff. durability is up with the best of them. i think my only gripe was weight was a lil up there but i would absolutely buy another pair. sometimes the graphics are hit though. i just want a super simple graphic like black with a few stripes or something super basic but the marketing model is small batch ‘loud’ graphics

He means a similar way of going about them probably. For example J and Vishnu's "pro models" are just their standard skis with a rider designed / inspired topsheet. Which in that case they are identical.

Different limited edition topsheets for the same model ski. Vishnus obviously have a different aesthetic

This seems to be most promodels now. I think it's cooler when the ski itself is actually designed for/by the skier but I do understand how this is less feasible for smaller companies

The rotating pro models is way cooler IMO. Give the hungriest dog a bone is at least in my eyes the most fair way to do it. But you're right, it's also the only feasible way smaller companies can probably do it.
