was very skeptical about these…just saw a guy here in steamboat with one on, first one I’ve seen in person. Honestly looks better in person than their photos online. What are peoples thoughts on these? Sweet idea or terrible idea?

One of the snowboard coaches at my mountian has one. Seems janky and would not like to find out if it works.
i brought this up in skimind i think not too long ago. the ‘soft shell’ design has potential to be safer and more comfortable but the aesthetic is unappealing to me. would like to see in person though. i hope they also make a more conventional looking ‘soft shell’ too cause the gimmicky beanie helmet seems like its for the ruroc crowd for sure
they claim that it protects better than MIPS, why isnt every racing / park pro using them then, should be no debate. The way they were going about it on their social media didn't sit right with me, these comments and claims are all removed from their IG now ofcourse.
haha im not, but if someones not wearing a helmet which is what this helmet/beanie is seemed to be marketed towards, wouldn't you rock helmet over what is supposed to be just a "beanie" like no helmet wearers do?

I see what your saying. I thought you were saying in general gog over helment or under. Gogs over the helmet is very very new to the freestyle scene
- unless you wer born in the 80's

I do find it funny / curious how even pro's tend to follow each other. I understand kids wanting to look like their idols and copy their style, but funny how a couple of pro skiers start wearing goggles over and now it seems to be the normal quite suddenly. Personally speaking, I don't think I'll ever go back to wearing goggles over helmet. But then I still wear skinny jeans and skate shoes and have had the same haircut since 2011.
