I also have the overhead backpack. Holds the boots, full set of ski clothes and extra regular clothes no issues. Meets most airlines overhead bin dimensions too so I can always carry my boots on. Also have a clip that lets you attach it directly to the sportubes so you can wheel them together.

Don’t waste space in your carry on bag with boots when you can carry those on separate and shove them under the seat and the bag in the overhead

So then I’m waiting space under my seat where my legs would be. No thanks. I enjoy leg comfort too much.
