remember using lodge microwaves as a kid, but they have disappeared completely. sad times if you don't wanna buy crazy expensive fries.

had a loophole some years ago, knew some of the lodge ladies at a resort and they would heat up my scrubby meals and give me hot chocolate on the house.

honestly if you stop by any patrol shack and ask someone, they'll probably let you use their microwaves. I sometimes do it at work for people. I will happily share my brick of ramen with you.

That sounds amazing. I've seen this at Silver in North Idaho. A ton of people brought up crock pots and pressure cookers to the top lodge which is a hella long gondolla ride. It wasnt terribly long after the whole pressure cooker bomb thing happened at the boston marathon. It freaked me out for a second but nobody seemed the slightest bit worried so I figured that was a regular thing.
