Twin Tip Ski Help

Hi, so i'm 17 years old, 5'7", 135lbs I ski on the east coast, my main mountain is Seven Springs. I'm 60/40 with all mountain and park(mainly all mountain) so I definitely want a ski that is great for both applications. Id like to say i'm an advanced level skier. I currently am using Line TWP 164s but I want to get new skis this season and i'm not sure if i should go for the newer model TWP or something wider (

I like the light weight of the TWP but the durability scares me and they don't feel as stable as I would like. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!(let me know if you want anymore info I didn't feel like retyping everything that got cut off haha)

just FYI i bet it cut you off there because you used a "less than" or "greater than" sign, that happens sometimes

i'd suggest arv 94 or 100 or similar, or honestly any other 90s range flagship park ski. i don't personally think you need anything wider in pennsylvania

others will be more helpful in terms of park ski suggestions though, i haven't kept up as much with them all lately

Yeah was definitely looking at the poachers fs i know theyre on the heavier side but who knows i could end up liking them

super well liked ski. on the stiffer side of park skis (but for all mtn stiffer and heavier generally = better)

Yeah honestly my number 1 choice right now just was seeing what others would suggest because i've really only focused my research on the poachers haha and will honestly prob get them just was scared abt the weight factor

i wouldn't let that throw you off unless you know for sure that youre really turned off by heavier skis. (i have to add though that theyre not that heavy, and lots of people think they want lighter skis but don't really benefit from them)

but yeah def see what other options people might turn you on to. lots of different choices these days. plus if you're okay with a few different ones you might be able to choose based on cost/sales/whatever

poachers def on heavier side but imo the durability and stability make up for it

I ski blue mountain in pa and take trips to 7 springs. I rock on3p filthy riches which are mango 90s and have a set of jeff 100s as my back up set. I have yet to go wrong with them. Also I skied the k2 poacher thought they were really good but I still reach for my filthy riches. I also am looking at mango 90s as my park ski again need to upgrade

183 Vishnu Wide +. It is one of my favorite skis that I have skied. They are playful enough in the park but also stiff enough to drop a 20-foot cliff without looping out. They even have a ton of float for all the pow days we have on the East Coast. For shits and grins, I even put a cast set up on mine so I can go touring with my dad and my friends.

I rode Poachers at 7springs for a few seasons (50/50 park/allmtn), they're a great match. Cheap, durable, and fun.
They can be slightly heavy and stiff for lighter riders, but after a day or so the extra weight will feel normal. However, you mentioned stability, which the Poacher has because of the extra stiffness. They sound pretty spot-on for what you want. You can bomb every run at Springs without finding their speed limit, then go smack them on all the rails. And the durability is great, so you can beat the crap out of them without stressing. I mounted mine 1cm behind true center, which I enjoy.

At the end of the day, any park/all mountain ski around 90-100 underfoot will be a good match for Springs. Catch ya in the Alley :)

Still got the Poachers. I'd ride them forever, but 184 isn't long enough for me. Picked up some 191 Jeffery 102's this summer, which are similar skis (around 100 underfoot, stiff, rockered, relatively symmetrical). Can't wait to get them on snow.
