What are your top 3 videos so far this year?

There been so many videos to release. It’s a blessing. Also kinda makes it hard to remember them all. I wanna know what your top 3 is and what’s makes them stick out for you. Is it cause your fav skier was in it, or cause the song, or filming editing, or something else about the vibe?

Everyone has different tastes so it’s fun to hear what you like and why you like it!

I have a lot of bias here obviously but my fave 3 no order so far: (not counting cast or meet me at the sauna cause they aren’t out for public yet)

snot- frantic guys
i love this one being all natty speed and full on unique vision. These guys are born in bred in Duluth. For years, the world best have traveled there to ski and ride street. In spite of that, will and James were able to carve their own lane and hit things I hadn’t seen before in in ways that hadn’t been done before.


why not- child labor
a lot of my favorite skiers in this one and some of the absolute best street skiing of the year for my tastes. I like challenging rails with tasteful tricks. That along with great overall crew vibe. A longer video by todays standards and that was no issue. It flies by and it full of quality action


hypertunnel- keep standing
this one captures the feel of skiing streets for me. Probably because these are the homies I been going out with the most these last few years. Regardless of that Hypertunnel has my fav soundtrack and composition of the year so far. The skiing is very spot focused and The creativity that brings out in trick selection is dope. I like unique spots that sorta dictate what the trick should be vs when you try to find spots so you can to do a trick you already thought of. There is also a lot of hefty spot too and that versatility is sick.

It’s that- potentially recency bias, but this movie has me so inspired. I love seeing what henrik and the crew cook up, always on a different level

Something in the water- any skiing with Jake is always going to be beautiful and the way Brady captures it is so impressive.

Why Not?- just straight street skiing porn. Some wicked crashes and you could feel the emotion through it all.

Cast, Delete, why not?. I’m definitely biased towards the more buck stuff but strictly movie was the first in a while that had legitimate comedic segments. There are like 3 individual sections of the movie dedicated to just really funny stuff, made it very memorable for me. CL is just buck and cast is pretty much one of the greatest street films of all time in every aspect.


Hypertunnel almost in the top 3 strictly for the fenway rail lol, such a high bust spot that never has snow

Child Labor has the best video this year, can't really argue with that imo. Gnarly spots, good music, filming editing. Haven't watched it since the early access but will need to watch it again soon. Their best video yet.

Forre and Hypertunnel video were both really sick. Really liked Hypertunnel the first time I watched it, nice twist on old Qc Spots. The intro inside the building was insane, took some foreigners to have the balls to do something like that. Forre video was really good, I preffered last year's video the way it was put together. Felt like I was watching a Bunch movie for a bit with all the smiles and B-roll. I prefer more of a classic style of editing. The night segment with the song was sick

I really liked garrets clips in why not, the sw tails 2 on the Quebec ledge was so dope, also really liked the song in his part. Seamus jumping from the roof to the dfd ledge was also sick as fuck, but everyone in that movie killed it. Noah also really stood out in the new harlaut vid, definitely the best out rn, best trick selection. everyone should also watch the ecook vid, ben bodett had a couple of clips and they were all so sick, most underrated skier out right now, pay the dude pls

Very mixed feelings about buldoz video, I think the video overall was sick but it’s such a weird juxtaposition of buck shit and like very mellow and uninspired 50-50s and drops. I get the drive to be creative so I’m not hating but it felt weird seeing the polarity of clips like that, the overall vibe/aesthetic was amazing though

The Buldoz BPC (the summer skiing video) is my favorite ski video that I've seen this year. The concept, vibe, editing, and music were all on point. Lots of people are really good at skiing now and lots of people produce really high quality videos. You really gotta have something special to stand out and this video did that. It's just a really fun video to watch.

Rhythm in chaos- Always love Owen's camera work and editing, soundtrack is dope and mixes with the skiing so well

BPC- Hardest off-snow skiing video ever made

Hypertunnel- Dope all around

In your dreams was one of my favorites from the level 1 premiere, can't wait to watch it again once its released

gotta be CAST for me. Everyone was so damn hyped on that at the level1 premiere in SLC, and it was just next level urban. I appreciate cinematography but hands down balls out gnarly will always have a special place in my heart

No lie, the new line TC video technically is more of a vlog than a ski edit but had better song choice, better vibes, and more entertaining content than any of these 30 minute long urban videos that would have been 10x better if they were shorter with no BS. Not hating on them, I enjoyed them for sure because the skiing is crazy, but if these vids don't cut out the filler and tryhard artsy shit im gonna be lowkey pissed. If you wanna make good ski content take notes from whoever edits the TC vids, they know whats up

To be clear, the Arsenic youtube hosts videos made by other people. Dan doesn't edit, film, or appear in most of the videos. He's giving different people exposure which is dope imo

1. Psychoactiv - this one takes the cake for me for sure. Oscar, Will, and Rudy are just so much fun to watch, and Tristan Steen is one hell of a filmer, so putting this at the top is a no brainer for me. Plus the b-roll clips of rats eating each other were gnarly asf.

2. Why not? - hammer after hammer after hammer. These guys absolutely knocked it out of the park again. Child Labor never ceases to amaze me.

3. Soulstar - all I can say is Hunter’s skiing and Owen’s filming/editing are such a godly combo. Really fun to watch, definitely need to watch it a few more times.

Haven’t seen Hypertunnel yet but I think I’m gonna have to after reading this thread.

Hypertunnel surpassed everyone’s expectations at the Burlington premiere. I think that one really cemented keep standing into the street game. Like those guys are so fucking dedicated and all choose great spots to suit their styles and technicality.

why not actually rocked my shit like I immediately watched it again. Super cool seeing Bennie come into himself as a street skier and his clips in that movie really showed that. His blind 4 in the first 2 mins or so and then that sketchy slide to tranny 20 feet below him were some of my personal favorites. Also yeah cal is fucked beyond words like the 4 on to switch tree dodge was hype

TGRs magic hour was also gas stoked to see McRae in a film again absolutely hucking his shit. Some insane lines in there fr

I’m actually a bit behind with this years releases😓

But so far though:

- Inglorious Bandits, by the Montana Bandits. fun movie with some nutty skiing and their premieres are always super fun. This year featured live music and free beer, can’t beat it.

- Snot, by franticguys. Definitely biased cause I grew up nearby the Duluth ski scene but I always love seeing spirit and street clips from there. Dudes killed it with the spot and trick selection, it’s a short but sweet street flick.

- :), by Trash Party. I ain’t even gonna lie this one will probably never actually drop but it would probably be one of my fav’s if it did anyways. Plus Sig Tviet teased the hard drive on his insta story to, so maybe the movie really is out there after all. A part of me is still hoping it will drop, maybe not this year, but some day.
