migidimigiCan't say anything about the narrow one but at least the 101 has more "modern" shape, similar to something like faction prodigy 2. So long rocker and early taper. Very different from previous chronics
now that you said it and I looked carefully on the photos it is clearly visible for the 94 as well. Very interested how the flex has changed now with this geometry change...
I was thinking of getting some chronics, now I need to figure out if I should get the old model or way for the new one... as well as what size to get, with the early rocker I guess they need to be on the longer side.
PartyBullshiitSo there is actually no metal. It’s just more of a blended shape with the commander. Flatter tail. Was described as a gap filler in the line up.
Oh damn, was hoping for twinned commander with titanal construction, still would love to demo but probably not replacing my commanders next year. Are you at the summit/did you try them out?

The 94 has a similar shape just less rocker longer effective edge kinda deal. I'd wait for the new ones. I'm on the current model, I've ridden all 3, and I'm gunning for 101s
.nastyExcept that everyone is afraid to buy it now since the tips delam within a few days typically. Let's hope that changes next season. I also wouldn't call it "way" stiffer, the 101 is still soft as heck.
no clue what you skied but I just rode it for a week and it is substantially stiffer than the blend, i did not find it to be soft at all

Unfortunately not this year.
got my info from moment and blister directly though.
I’ll be in Tahoe next month so fingers crossed I can try them then.
@Twig too early to say if a roofbox review for the Chron 101s will be coming? I’m looking at the specs and wondering if this could be an alternative to the discontinued gen. 2 Arv 106? Currently on the outgoing 106s and while great for charging, I do wish I would’ve jumped on the gen 2s to get some more playfulness.

It's coming for sure. We have two guys already on the TC 101 and I will be getting a pair of the 23/24s in the next week or so.
i’m a tech at powder7, have been for a couple seasons now. From what we’ve received and what I’ve skied so far… Sender 110 free, new Elan twin tip and Revolt 114 seem to be where the hype is at. Sender 110 free skis good, real fuckin good. However I’m more concerned about the 23/24 189 wide plus situation @vishnu
Has anyone gotten on the Bacon 115's yet? I don't love the graphic, but an 18m turning radius and 2300g skis sounds like a damn fun ski that still has some backbone.

Huh, I haven't weighed our pair yet but it definitely didn't feel that heavy to me. It's a bit stiffer and more stable than the Outline but still feels much more like a playful, lively ski than a damp, stable one. It reminds me a lot of the Outline, but the Bacon 115 mostly feels stiffer and not as loose / surfy.
Bummer, the NS guide has a stated weight of 2340 for the 188. I was hoping it would feel a little more damp, but super appreciate the insight!

bootspaceanyone know anything of the new salomon freestyle ski that i think either sleepy grill or ez.panda is on right now, looks super fun in the park

I think the listed weights are pretty accurate. They don't feel very heavy on snow but my 184cm 108 is ~2205g per ski. For those interested, the new ones are true to length, 184.2cm in a 184 with a straight tape.

Ah interesting - they definitely hide their weight in both a good and bad way then haha
Not much to go from but saw a dude absolutely carving the shit out of the new yellow travelling circus chronic today, looked like a straight up performance ski

Line's skis have turned better than they possibly have a right to forever. Way back to the Elizabeth and even the EP Pro (which was a terrible groomer ski, obviously, but compared to fat skis of its generation it was actually still pretty skiable). I'm very much looking forward to taking the new Chronic out in the next few days. Looks like a super fun shape.
.Tom.Man the Bacon graphic just feels so uninspired, so phoned in, R.I.P to the Pollard glory days.
supposedly the biggest change is not the graphic - which is huge, following that decade of graphic bliss is a tall order though - but the flex pattern. It is my understanding that the new Bacon is way stiffer than previous iterations.
Yeah new bacon graphics aren't the most original with the paint splatter. They do ride solid enough though, not really as much of a jib ski anymore. Want to try the 190 length in the future

Kbob94Yes they have some decent weight and ski quite well actually! Was quite impressed with them when I skied them
Quick comparison to BO118? I know for a fact I'd love the bo118 but they don't come over 186 and its killing me. I'm kinda hoping the cole pro takes that spot.
Not the biggest fan of these, I liked how older Wallisch and B&E boots had pretty wild designs (like Jordan, Wu, Timberland, Mario etc.) These are pretty boring and kind of soul-less, but I understand the want for similar, mass-producable designs.

Very different I would say. Personally the BO118 feels like skiing a 2x4 to me. I hated the ski and tried to love it but never did. This one definitely skied better in a lot of ways it definitely has more kids to it but it’s not a noodle. Is it as good as a WW? Not even close but I have yet to find a ski in all my years in this industry that comes close to that ski.

I think it’s called the sidehit, supposed to be a similar shape/flex as vishnus
