Yo guys! Planning a trip that includes New York and Colorado in December this year. I’m just wanting to get an idea of what the situation is like over there with respect to being vaccinated, mainly to do with what airlines, accommodation places and resorts are requiring? No fights please. I’ve had 2 Pfizer doses but don’t want a third as I had quite a bad reaction to the second, and I have had covid now so would rather not get a third. Are any airlines or places in either NY or CO requiring a third?

Yes, what happened recently was different since they attempted to overthrow the government, but now, it's basically the same conflict as before with Russia trying to take the East and connect with Crimea with literally the same demands.
I know though, the media told you it would be best if we overthrow Putin and start a war. So anything that goes against that is confusing and we have to virtue signal about civilians you suddenly care so much about. Suddenly you probably care about civilians in Yemen, or Israel, or Palestine, or Iraq, or Afghanistan.
I'm sure it's not you totally getting hyped up on whatever is in the media...

How is this in any way similar to Crimea besides the fact that it's Russia invading Ukraine under false pretenses?
We've seen more casualties in 2 months than we saw in 8 years since the initial invasion of Crimea.
Millions more refugees.
The complete destruction of the Russian economy.
The largest and most unified sanctions ever.
Switzerland breaking neutrality and Germany upping its military budget.
The pull out of a large swath of American companies from a country of 144 million.
One of the largest raw fossil fuel exporters is now being cut off from the world politically and economically.
The upheaval of the global order now that people realize that the Russian military isn't nearly as adept, nor is the country as globally important as it was thought to be 6 months ago.
Should it be something you're thinking about in your day to day? Probably not.
Is the mainstream media going to milk this? Sure, welcome to existing in the united states for the past 40 years. I don't watch that shit and you don't have to either. Go read original source material then.
Will it affect you to some degree? Of fucking course. We live in a globalized society and this is the largest disruption Europe has seen since the fall of the wall.

It's an ongoing conflict that started less than 2 months ago. What, did they just say "okay they left Kyiv , that war is over, now it's a new war and we are going to ignore all of those other things that happened". Lmao. Imagine saying that about any conflict in the past 100 years.
Let's say I even grant you your idea that this is somehow a different conflict that is "identical" to Crimea. The current Russian-occupied territory is 3x the size of the Crimean peninsula. And the demands are not 100% the same as before. Usually, it's not good to make 100% statements, especially if you don't have any idea what you are talking about. And even if I grant you the point that it is identical to crimea...does that make it any better?

No troops are going on the ground, no one is trying to overthrow Putin, there is no nfz being put in place, we have shot down attempts at giving Ukraine more advanced military equipment from ally states, and I'd imagine that the money given isn't "blindly" going to Ukraine, and Putin has always had a way out-It's called leaving. Ukraine has been corrupt but seemed to be moving in a positive direction even after crimea. I'd imagine Russia is probably pretty corrupt too.
