Yo guys! Planning a trip that includes New York and Colorado in December this year. I’m just wanting to get an idea of what the situation is like over there with respect to being vaccinated, mainly to do with what airlines, accommodation places and resorts are requiring? No fights please. I’ve had 2 Pfizer doses but don’t want a third as I had quite a bad reaction to the second, and I have had covid now so would rather not get a third. Are any airlines or places in either NY or CO requiring a third?
Only thing required to fly into the states is a negative covid test 24 hours prior to flying. You can order a test online and then schedule a teams call with a rep and they watch you take it. Vaccination status is not required. Just sent a buddy back home to the states Monday from the UK.
yungonaWho tf is Q anon? People are dying from heart attacks due to myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) after receiving the covid vaccination.
I know you guys will downvote him and me, but it is true that some people have died from the vaccine. Since we only trust government resources you can easily go to the VARS site and see the counts.
Also, the CDC refused to release data on 18-49 effects of the booster because it would "contribute to vaccine hesitancy". Just saying at this point maybe it is time to stop downvoting anyone who says anything against the government narrative on vaccines. Even the government doesn't follow the original 'narrative' about vaccines.

I don’t doubt it at all bro, after my reaction to the second I did some research that wasn’t coming from mainstream media and some of the real statistics are fucked and it’s crazy they aren’t talking about it

Samp20I don’t doubt it at all bro, after my reaction to the second I did some research that wasn’t coming from mainstream media and some of the real statistics are fucked and it’s crazy they aren’t talking about it, wish I hadn’t gotten haha.
What happened to you after you got the second? My 98 year old grandfather got covid and survived after receiving the vaccine.
Samp20Yeah man coming from New Zealand, do you think that’ll change much?
Highly highly doubt anything will change. Even the liberal leaning states who were all gung ho about covid don't care any more. The case rates are pretty low and nothing to suggest that will change, at least in the near future. Even in pediatrics, those cases are much lower than they were at their peak. Short of some unexpected outbreak, you'll be fine.
The only entry requirements I could find were requirement of a negative test within 1 day prior to boarding your aircraft.

Jemswhere in the article does it say any of that??
It's there. You can also read the press release directly from the CDC to get their language. Here's an article that also mentions the NYT article:
"When asked to comment, CDC spokesperson Kristen Nordlund said the agency held back some information “because basically, at the end of the day, it’s not yet ready for prime time.”
The CDC prioritizes making sure information is accurate, she said, adding that the CDC fears the public might misinterpret some information.
Where's skierman to remind simp you don't come to NS for vaccine advice.

Shit changes every week, how we guess 8 months away

Icant_kfedYou didn’t get the memo? Covid isn’t real anymore, Russia happened now cnn and the Washington post aren’t blowing it out of proportion
Yeah but now you're an evil dirty 'conservative' if you think we should limit our involvement in a country that we do not actually care about beyond the usual 'progressive' virtue signaling about the 'current thing'.
Everyone went from being a mask expert to being an expert on NATO.
Seriously we need to focus up and start having more long-term thinking. Everyone I know just goes around repeating one of the two current narratives. Everything is a crisis that can only be fixed by authoritarian government action. It's insanity and it's being pushed by people who consider themselves intellectuals...
Monsieur_PatateSays the guy bringing up his 'research' every chance he gets, oh the irony.
Just shut the fuck up, no one cares
Yeah I know, resort to telling people to 'shut the fuck up' rather than accepting a lot of people being demonized the last two years were right. I guess you could learn from that and not get overly excited about whatever government/media narrative gets started next, or just go around telling people who think differently than you to 'shut up'.
Bruh you've been back for under a week and turned a thread asking advice for traveling into a full blown argument about covid. No one cares to hear you but we certainly will respond. The fact is: your risk of serious adverse events from the vaccine is less than the risk of catching covid and something bad happening, irrelevant of age. This is indisputable.
Also go fuck yourself for trying to compare people's support of covid to the Ukraine war. The outrage and support for Ukraine is driven by morals, not government. Covid pandemic was devastating for morbidity and mortality and I find it amazing people like you are still trying everything you can to downplay the situation or the response.

You're reading way too far into this. This type of data is rarely ever published before drugs are approved. I challenge you, since you're so against this life saving vaccine, to boycott all pharmaceuticals and biologic agents. Because I can guarantee that most meds you take by mouth are gonna be a hell of a lot more dangerous than the covid vaccine.

Dude I'm not against the vaccine, I got my two shots. Again, more narrative following nonsense...
And no, I'm not reading too much into it. It's literally in a NYT article. Yes, this exact data was published for the older segment (65+) but was withheld for lower ages because the CDC felt it would 'contribute to vaccine hesitancy'.
Just so you know, the drug companies also do not release their raw data to the CDC or the FDA which is completely fucked up. They went to court to withhold the data for 55 years...

this is a really stupid take compared to your other ones
Jemsthis is a really stupid take compared to your other ones
Nah, I'm not saying Ukraine isn't important. However, it's just another example of the media and government getting overly hyped up about an issue and demonizing anyone who doesn't support the exact narrative 100%.
Pretty famous example was The New York Times, who attacked some conservative columnist for saying Ukraine is a pretty corrupt country and we should be careful about how and to who we provide funds. When asked about it the conservative columnist pointed to a NYT article talking about how corrupt Ukraine is and how we need to be careful about giving them money.
Currently people will go around saying whatever matches the narrative and then when the narrative changes they just play revisionist history and pretend they never said that, or that something 'changed' and they're still right and have been all along.
I support Ukraine clearly, but also whether or not it is run by some Putin puppet has literally ZERO impact on my life or well being. Since they gave up trying to take over Kyiv, the current conflict is almost identical to the conflict that has been going on in the east for 5+ years. It doesn't matter to me, but I'm glad it gave the media an out on making small children where facemarks.
How about a 'red pill' that just makes you think for yourself and be reasonable to the preferences of others?
My uncle thinks black people and democrats are lazy even though his fat ass drinks SoCo all day...
My brother just repeats whatever is on the front page of reddit, same as a bunch of my friends...
I feel like watching Bill Maher might get close to that red pill?
Jesus you're like the terminator of NS. Let op have his thread and quit jacking every covid related thread. Fuck man get a life no body cares

This is nothing compared to the previous 5 years
Bro I thought they totally never release that data anyway so like why even care right? Or in classic narrative following fashion you're just going to ignore being wrong?

HypeBeastThis is nothing compared to the previous 5 years
The war in the East is very similar to the last several years. The demands of Russia since they got their ass kicked in Kyiv are literally the same as the last several years...
People like you are straight up authoritarians who go with whatever the mainstream narrative is... Look at what people are saying about a democratically elected leader in Hungary. Look at 'progressives' foaming at the mouth over Le Pen potentially winning in France. People who think differently than me are EVIL!

Yeah cuz this many citizens have totally been killed. Yeah because Russia has objectively invaded ukraine. Yeah because this many Russian solder have been killed prior.
HypeBeastYeah cuz this many citizens have totally been killed. Yeah because Russia has objectively invaded ukraine. Yeah because this many Russian solder have been killed prior.
Not even close. Wtf media do you read bro?
Ok, so is there a war in eastern Ukraine with the same demands or not for the past 7 years? As far as I can tell, Russia invaded Ukraine in 2015. Yes, what happened recently was different since they attempted to overthrow the government, but now, it's basically the same conflict as before with Russia trying to take the East and connect with Crimea with literally the same demands.
I know though, the media told you it would be best if we overthrow Putin and start a war. So anything that goes against that is confusing and we have to virtue signal about civilians you suddenly care so much about. Suddenly you probably care about civilians in Yemen, or Israel, or Palestine, or Iraq, or Afghanistan.
I'm sure it's not you totally getting hyped up on whatever is in the media...

Love that you're continuing to ignore your statements about the COVID booster data too. They just always don't release data bro. Totally normal. Really cool stuff.

Man what? See this is why I think that the "always question the narrative people" are just about as bad as the people who always follow the narrative.
How is this in any way similar to Crimea besides the fact that it's Russia invading Ukraine under false pretenses?
We've seen more casualties in 2 months than we saw in 8 years since the initial invasion of Crimea.
Millions more refugees.
The complete destruction of the Russian economy.
The largest and most unified sanctions ever.
Switzerland breaking neutrality and Germany upping its military budget.
The pull out of a large swath of American companies from a country of 144 million.
One of the largest raw fossil fuel exporters is now being cut off from the world politically and economically.
The upheaval of the global order now that people realize that the Russian military isn't nearly as adept, nor is the country as globally important as it was thought to be 6 months ago.
Should it be something you're thinking about in your day to day? Probably not.
Is the mainstream media going to milk this? Sure, welcome to existing in the united states for the past 40 years. I don't watch that shit and you don't have to either. Go read original source material then.
Will it affect you to some degree? Of fucking course. We live in a globalized society and this is the largest disruption Europe has seen since the fall of the wall.

I'd like to hop on board with the second part of this. Since everything is the media playing mindtricks, what do you actually read or trust?
Most of what you wrote about is due to the original invasion. I was talking about the current situation which is a war in the East with 100% the same demands as before.
I'm not saying it isn't relevant to the world at large. What I'm talking about is the media reaction that gets everyone going around repeating the same thing and demonizing anyone who goes against the narrative. I personally do not want to see troops in Ukraine or money blindly going to a country that is known to be corrupt. I don't think we should act to overthrow Putin and we 100% should give him a way out to avoid more serious conflicts.
LonelyMan what? See this is why I think that the "always question the narrative people" are just about as bad as the people who always follow the narrative.

I like Bill Maher and his show more than anything. He said similar things to what I said here. He had guest on who said similar things.
I'm not saying the media is playing 'mind tricks', but they 100% go around parroting the same narrative (see trusted news initiative) AND they purposefully divide us.
LonelyI'd like to hop on board with the second part of this. Since everything is the media playing mindtricks, what do you actually read or trust?
Nothing. Knowledge of anything outside one's own mind is unsure; the external world and other minds cannot be known and might not exist outside the mind.
That reminds me, I need to refill my prescriptions...
