Replying to Skiing with no Footbed or insole - To ski or not to ski?

Mygary:
Does anyone here choose not to use a custom/supporting insole or footbed when skiing? Whether you go foot in empty liner or you use the stock insole or a variation of it, how do you feel when you ski insoleless? I know lots of people tout them heavily because they stop over pronation and are supposed to enhance comfort, but I'll be honest, I really don't notice a huge difference in my comfort or skiing when using versus not using. Anyone have thoughts or opinions on this who has tried insole versus no insole? I have seen the argument that it lets you edge more easily, but I also feel like this is not very evident for me, edging both feels responsive and intuitive.
