Booster strap + stock power strap?

Has anyone added booster straps in addition to the stock power strap on atomic hawx's? Just got some new boots (hawx ultra 130 s) and I feel like a booster strap holding my liners to my shins more would help a bit.

I did get these boots fitted at a good shop, and I'm running zipfits as opposed to the stock liner. I'm using the laces and the power strap on the zipfits but I'm thinking a booster would be a nice addition.

@onenerdykid has anyone done this/would it work?

Are you running the stock strap beneath the shell?

I tried above and below today, below was better but I think if I could do both it'd be perfect

Then you don't want a Booster, you want the Atomic Professional Dual Strap. It pulls both the liner tongue and the cuff separately (yet together) rather than choosing one or the other.

I just looked that up and it's exactly what I'm looking for, is there anywhere that stocks them or should I call a retailer and have them order one for me?

I haven’t seen them at a retailer yet, but retailers can order them from Atomic (last I heard Atomic US is sold out of the “hawx” for the year but is getting the “redster” dual strap in early March. Both work for the Hawx boots though, only difference is the quick-release on the strap

Have exact same boots. I have Intuition pro wraps in them. I took the stock strap off, and just have a booster that I run under the shell. Works perfect for me.

Static velcro to hold the liner in place and a Booster on top. Works like a charm. Tried the Patriot Tru Strap 2.0 as well but didn't like it as much, felt like couldn't get them tight enough without getting them too tight, kinda weird experience all in all, and came back to this setup.

Since shreddy dudes & dudettes tend to vary alot in size; here's my small but sendy park skier setup:
175cm / 74kg
Faction Prodigy 3.0x 178cm
Pivot 15's at 9.5
255 Full Tilt Dropkicks with Zipfit Freerides
Intermediate Booster straps (might need to upgrade to stiffer ones?)

The actual strap setup:
Zipfit Freeride liner, velcro strap removed
➡️
Full Tilt Dropkick with power strap replaced with Zipfit velcro, which secures the liner to the shell
➡️
Booster strap, also in the power strap tunnel, on top of tongue
➡️
🤤

It's on the power strap tunnel with the booster strap, both attached with a screw, just like the stock power strap.

Idk if it answers question but I was reading for boosters that they suggest using a hot screw or nail so everything kinda closes up and seams together

I have 2 pair of boots one full tilt first chair 6 for pretty much everything and a dalbello lupo for touring and both got booster strap its a lil upgrade for every boot for sure.

absolutly love it and would recommend to everyone to use it definitly keeps your boot tighter on the upper part.

the normal Strap is not able Hold the pressure you put them while skiing and charging on them so booster is the solution

Nope. The tension comes equally from both sides so there is no abrasion either. I've skied my boosters for 150ish days like that and the screw hole looks just like it did on day one.

Actually, it's just different in terms of responsiveness vs. suspension. A non-elastic, cam buckle strap (like the stock strap the OP has) is far more direct and initiates power more immediately. An elastic strap has better damping, better suspension. Both are great for charging, just depends on what you want to have.

We've had the regular (non-elastic) Dual Strap on our race boots since 2007. The Professional version is new since the 21/22 season.

I finally got ahold of a professional strap, holy crap that thing makes a huge difference. It substantially improved my heel hold and you can tighten it way more than the stock strap, easily worth the money

Racers edge in Breck was doing some bootwork for me, they had a few in store...definitely lucky
