I’ve have the absolute worst shin bang issues. I’ve tried everything and nothing has stopped it. But I just randomly tried out this goofy combo putting my boot on and it works. It feels fantastic and my shins feel great. So if you have bad shinbang give this combo a shot

TypicalskiThe best thing for me was taking a 4-5 day break I know it sucks but it helps so much
Been there done that. I’ve been having shin issues for 3 years now and it basically comes back instantly after 1 day. Yes I do take breaks (literally have to because the one year I didn’t I got stress fractures) but at this point I’ve lost all hope and just try to do whatever I can to make it bearable
Get boots that fit, and have them fit with a fitter.
I don't get it. What are you trying to show?
The booster strap, or some ankle wrap to make your boot fit better?

he's showing that he's run two of the buckles under the tongue of the boot instead of over, his booster strap is also kinda under the tongue

Right, because the boot never fit! Shin bang and toenail pain! ;-)
Just a shot in the dark here but I'm guessing that by moving the upper cable underneath the tongue and the booster strap out of the way, the tongue isn't actually providing any resistance anymore. I bet that when you flex forward the tongue sort of shifts upward and forward out of the way. You should probs just get softer tongues until you get proper fitting boots. I bet yours are too big.
SmokedGoudaWhen someone actually listens to “get full tilts”
A boot fitter recommended me these boots. They actually fit me super well compared to any other robot I have had. The issue is I have long chicken legs and there’s no way to stop shin splints/bang because of that

The booster strap pushed into the tongue. The tongue gives resistance all the way through the flex. The cable underneath just helps lock in my shin better. I also have the softest tongue full tilt offers
TRVP_ANGELi hate to break it to you chief but the bootfitter was wrong. Boots that fit don't create shin bang.
I’m 6’1, 140lbs. I’ve tried every boot there is and have been to different boot fitters. After talking with a physical therapist that specializes in freestyle skiing my issue is my legs are too skinny, weak, and long to flex any boot properly. I literally can’t get rid of my shin splints (it’s not shin bang in my case) unless I get big, which I’m working on. But my boots actually do fit fantastic. Everything is locked in and super comfy except for my shins. I just cant flex the boot properly. Full tilts have by far been the best for me though
not commenting on your shin bang but you should buy shorter cables bro they shouldnt be maxxed like that with your leg in the boot. Is your top cable on the 3rd notch inside of the shell?

They are only maxed out because they are under the shell. When I put the boot on normal they arnt even close to max. Escort for the middle cable. I max that one and it’s still kinda loose. Does full tilt sell shorter cables?

yes check the website or make a BST post on here, getting new cables greatly improved my fit

Also, that middle cable is important, it pulls your heel into the corner.
I actually think the position of that middle buckle is a great thing about these, most 4 buckle boots have nothing pulling in that direction.
Yeah i attempted this cable method and it didnt work. i think getting fillers added to your boots, shorter cables, and booster straps is going to be the best bet

even better if you angle the strap at the top of the tongue so it presses both into your shin and down into the boot to keep your shin more attached to the tongue and it will hold your foot better.
