Has anyone else gotten hurt even tho they landed the trick?

Today at copper on my second lap I threw a backflip on one of the peace park jumps and pulled a muscle in my abs when I threw my head back somehow. Not sure how that even happened like maybe I didn’t warmup properly or something ?? Do you have to warmup your abs before doing flips ? Has anyone else had this happen to them

I tore my acl casing a 3 and i didnt fall. Barely even hurt for an icy knuckle

This actually happens a lot. Both hucking it on smaller stuff and even sometimes setting it for a big layout. When you havent been doing them it's pretty easy to tweak them chest muscles.

I don't do enough flips these days so i dont notice it. Sometimes in the spring if its nice out and i chuck a few i feel the burn.

It amazes me what some people ride away from. You see a pro realistically get 90-100 feet and land wonky at the bottom of the jump, super backseat but still ride away. Blows my mind

How often does this happen? Had to cut my day short cause it was hurting pretty bad. This is the first time it happened to me

Hmm. It could have just been how you set it. You might have pulled back your gead and arched your chest hard and tweaked something. I would usually only notice it early season if i jadnt flipped in a while, or some days if i did a ton but could have been something specific i did and not just doing a bunch.

That sucks though. I know that feel. Ive had spring days where it was so good i kept flipping but my chest was burning.

Hopefully just sore for a day and then fine.

tore my right ab earlier this season. sucked ass and could barely exercise for 5 weeks, wanna know how to prevent this
