soupcanI actually really like the enforcer free 104. It’s not really a freestyle ski but was great in the 6” of pow I skied in and was very good in crud and on groomers. I found it to be super versatile. It is a bit hefty in weight and quite damp but it was not hard to bend into a tight turn especially for a ski with 2 sheets of metal. I found it to actually be really intuitive. Plus it releases quite quick if you want with the rockered tail.
I was certain I was going to add that ski to my quiver this year but ran into car trouble and the ski fund was drained.
Definitely a good take here. Too heavy to be a true freestyle ski but if you want a ski that’s damp, powerful and fucking destroys any terrain in front of it, that’s pretty much the ski. OP, it’s not so stiff as it is demanding. To get the most out of most of the Enforcers, you really need to drive them to make them come alive. The ARV 96 is a solid choice for the East Coast, and would serve you fine for a trip or two. Don’t buy for the week long trip you take once or twice a year, but for what you’ll be spending the majority of your time skiing. That being said, the 106 is definitely more than capable on the East Coast so either one could be a good option. The Faction Prodigy 2.0 is a good one to look at too.
