Hey all,
New guy here looking for some ski advice. From what I've read in the stickies, you want to know:
LOCATION - Cottonwoods and around Colorado ~20-30 ski days a year
HEIGHT/AGE/WEIGHT - 6' / 30 / 185
ABILITY LEVEL- Advanced Intermediate
BUDGET - < $800
WHAT KIND OF SKI DO YOU WANT - playful/forgiving all mountain ski for fun groomers, trees, and moguls
CURRENT QUIVER - 93 Enforcer 185s and Soul 7 180s
I love railing groomers on the Enforcers but feel like they're a lot of ski for trees and when I want to casually mess around. I love how loose and forgiving the Souls are but they chatter so much with any sort of speed / choppy conditions.
I'm looking for something that fits in the middle - more playful/lighter than the Enforcers but can also handle some speed without chattering. Mainly used for a normal casual day in the resort all around the mountain - groomers, moguls, and trees.
I'd imagine my quiver would then be used like:
- Enforcers for flying groomers
- Souls for soft/powder days
- ??? for having forgiving fun all around the mountain
Some skis that I think fit the bill:
- Blizzard Rustler
- Line Sick Day
- Atomic BC 100
- Elan Ripstick
- Fischer Ranger
- Liberty Origin
- Volkl Blaze
Would love some input even if it's just eliminating some of the above. Thanks all.
