Delamination Issue

Any advice for a ski that delaminated after several uses.

The online retailer(Outdoor XL) I purchased these from said they would not honor the warranty as this was caused by excessive force.

Always kept in a cool dry place and now I’m reluctant to buy Elan ever again.

I would contact elan and not the retailer. If you have proof of perchance they should be able to do something for you.

I would contact elan for warranty first because alot of companies won't do anything for warranty if you try to fix it. If they tell you they won't do anything then I'd go to glue/epoxy

those are totaled of course. how old were they, how much did you use them, what caused the damage?

definitely contact Elan themselves if you think you have a legit claim

Everyone in this thread thinking these are fixable is on crack. For sure hit up elan and try to see if they can do anything. After that, toss your money to a company like ON3P, V, Jet, gilson, moment, 4frnt or J.

That’s not a delam. I delam would be layers separating. You literally have split the core. Probably from some sort of impact. Probably why they won’t warranty it.

Not always. I had some nice k2 recoils, and the core started to get soggy. They turned into 2x4's and I could rail anything. So, don't listen to this guy OP, throw out the elans and buy some 2x4's.
