welcome to NSG’s official Guns Subwoofers, and Beer thread. Post one of each. If anybody violates the rules i am going to snap.
i will begin.
This is the gun i am very excited to get sometime soon. Its a swiss made Brugger & Thomet GHM9 pistol caliber carbine.
I had two of the subwoofer on the left (sunfire xteq) in this picture and one of them broke so warranty is sending me a brand new larger size xteq (the one on the right) that retails for 2200$.
and if you are the type of person who thinks you will never become an alcoholic i challenge you to start drinking a 6pack a day of these little cirrhotic bastards and report back to me. They are 12 percent and they go down easier than a bud light.
its almost ridiculous how easy it is to put down 3 of these in 20 minutes and then feel a buzz equivalent to slamming 9 regular beers. The buzz is almost more opioidesque than beeresque.
At some point I just need to build out the 2 stripped lowers I have sitting in a drawer. And get both of my pistols(Glock43, Glock45) slides cut for optics.

MiIfHunterBcuz trumps a cocksucker and republicans can eat my Ballz and rn I’m abroad sucking on Portuguese women’s butts
TIL owning a Austrian firearm makes me a Trumper.
I own Glock for reliability, safety, and availability of parts. I own 2 for identical function and manual of arms as well as identical grip angle. One for daily carry, and one for getting rad during the zombie apocalypse.
I want an 1858 Remington with a black powder cylinder and a cartridge cylinder.

Also i wanted to say that my xteq8 makes the walls in my house start shaking. Considering the xteq12 thats coming has a 3000 watt internal amp and 2 12” high excursion drivers, im worried i might shatter a window in my house.
safarisamNeed new Glock 20. Can’t find one anywhere at the moment.
Ever taken a look at Canik? Their TP-9 series seems pretty. Good capacity and a much better-shipped trigger than glock. Seems like it's the new hotness.
But it's also probably impossible to find right now.

Not sure I'd recommend a turkish 9mm in grizz country. Or at all for that matter.

I'm unwilling to use anything but the 20. It's a 10mm and I'm familiar with it.
Dolan you realize ethanol causes a release of endogenous opioids... Fucking noob.

safarisamI hunt in griz country. Mine was misplaced on the ranch and it’s hard to comb over 10,000 acres.
wait, you lost a gun on a ranch?
I don't handle guns often, or at all in recent years
but how the fuck do you loose a glock? is that a common issue? Is it like a coffee and you left it on your roof or what? Raised so many questions ahaha

Yeahhhhhh it’s not a common issue. Had it on my quad and had been out there long enough to forget I set it on it and welded back to the cattle. Got there and realized it was gone. Not my proudest moment.

oh yeah so definitely like forgetting a coffee on the roof type thing. expensive mistake for sure aha, i've murdered about 5x that in iphone screens in the past few years (looked up prices, i'm not even kidding) so it's not like I can really talk shit about being irresponsible with possessions.
seems like a pretty simple, albeit expensive, mistake.

When you get a new one get a nice safariland holster with retention.
I heard or read somewhere that ipas are a distant relative to weed and it gives a better buzz because of that. Honestly, it’s true for me. Nothing hits like a higher ABV ipa buzz. Also, anything less than 6% isn’t even an ipa in my mind. It’s like a session beer and they always, inevitability, have a stale taste. Like a lager mixed with an ipa. No thanks.
DolansLebensraumLots of things release endorphins. Food for example. That doesnt mean the feeling from eating a big mac rises to the typical level of opioid euphoria.

Thats interesting. The double dogs i think taste amazing. Not even considering most alcoholic drinks that are 12 percent make me retch.

For a 2x18 that frequency response is pretty weak. Theres plenty of 2x 18” pro sub enclosures that go flat down below 20hz. 45 hz is pretty weak. Im curious why the subs u posted are so highly rated.

Its a high output music venue sub, not meant for Home Theater and was tuned as such. The designers probably focused more on clarity in the more usable range than trying to extend to the bottom. Its very hard to pump out 20hz in a large venue and have high output. I have heard a version of these subs back when Beta Nightclub had a set before they closed and the bass is unreal. Tony Andrews runs the company and he knows his shit, there is a reason FunktionOne is the standard at clubs and venues nowadays.
If you really need to go lower you can get these as well:

Although i have gotten the sense that alot of concerts and venues dont require a subwoofers response to be ultra low (flat to the 20hz region). If you have alot of subs that are flat to 40 hz the kick from the subwoofer array will still pound hard into the chests of the audience and feel plenty powerful. So your funktion one subs probably would be fine for most venues. 40 hz feels quite deep especially when its very loud.
but personally for me, some of my favorite songs have very low bass notes that are in the 20hz or below region. Without a loud response in this region these songs would be dead to me.
if i was going to put a sub in my house that would literally shatter my windows, i would definitely go with a sub like this from jbl.
Which is flat to about 25 hz.
in order for a sub to be louder at supper low frequencies it will usually have to give up a little bit of spl (volume) at higher frequencies, and also it may have lower peak sensitivity levels.
but in my opinion those are worthy tradeoffs to get super low bass that does the lower frequencies of a song justice.
I have a hard on for jbl because for years they produced excellent value products and then harman stepped them up and then samsung stepped harman up.
so jbl is effectively owned by samsung now, and if you think a company like samsung would be caught dead producing a shitty product then God help you.
i had my eye on this little bitch for a while and crutchfield just recently dropped the price from 500 to 300 so i had to pull the trigger and spend some of my bidenbucks. Its sort of a philanthropic purchase because bitches love bass so in the end i will be making people happy and improving mankind.
I own one. Would never defend myself from a grizzly with it but it sits next to my bed with an inforce light in case someone tries to enter the wrong residence in the middle of the night. I’ve put hundreds of rounds through it (would be more if 9mm was easier to find) and never had a single problem. It’s a newer firearm for sure but some departments over seas use them as a duty weapon so it’s not like they have a history of problems or bad rep or anything.
If you want to spend 550-600 on a glock 17/19 that’s great but you can get a suppressor ready bad ass elite for like 2 hundred bucks less and still have a great 9mm imo
