Hammers or tech shit?

So many people in the aggressive inline community talk about how people doing wacky/minimal shit on skates will look more fun and engaging to non-bladers than death-defying gaps or grinds. I'm not really sure tbh.

Most people don't get into skiing because of the bunch. They all get in because they see Candide or Sammy Carlson throwing absolutely enourmous shit into 6 foot deep powder, or watch X games.

I got into skiing because my dad taught me when I was a little kid. There was no bullshit commercials saying this or that, maybe there was but no one was paying attention. Learning to ski was just what we did in this family.

I got into skiing when my dad showed me unrailistic and I used to have that type of skiing as the definetion of the best skiers in my head but now I really enjoy the bunch and what not,

For skiing it was watching THall and Simon at Xgames Superpipe. For blading it was watching old Chris Haffey street parts. I think hammers are more appealing to outsiders and technical stuff is only cool to people that are into the sport and "get it".

A lot of people in the aggressive inline community think that people will be most attracted to watching tricks that look fun and approachable rather than those that are super massive and dangerous.
I'd say there's merit in that argument but also idk if we wanna attract people who are scared of doing crazy shit in the first place
