I feel they are more stable cause of the wider platform. And they look cool especially if they’re over 100underfoot. Only downside is you can do 4billion frontswaps on a down tube with skis that are like 108underfoot. And if I’m being honest 95 underfoot isn’t wide in the park. It’s kinda the median now dats

Tell that to 2005. in 2005 ppl thought seth pistols and pocket rockets were fat ass pow skis and they were 95mm and 90mm underfoot.

A wider skis wider landing platform helps landing in softer conditions but washes easier than a narrower model, more useful for freestyle outside the park where big landings lead to bomb holes, in a groomed park a narrow 95 is nice for jumps and rails and especially switch carves, wider skis bring more swingweight which makes spins harder and more weight makes it harder for rail balance but this is all minimum , if you can 5 a 95 waist you can 5 a 108

-Been skiing k2 and head Caddy all my life which i loove, the Caddy is 84 underfoot and now 2022 head is realeasing this new model "oblivian 94" which i think is basiclly Caddy But 94 instead of 84.
Why wider skis?? What are the benefits, at rails as well as jumps etc. ???
