Losing my Send appetite

So yesterday was the best pow day of my year in terms of skiing pow, but as the day went on, I realized something, I seem to have lost some of my appetite to send it. Don't get me wrong, I love the feeling of landing some new air or line, but I just felt like I wanted to ski powder. I've noticed I haven't been trying to catch as much air everywhere and find myself trying to avoid flat or jarring landings more than anything else. I did some 3s earlier this year, but I haven't been trying them everywhere. Instead, I'm finding myself more into just skiing fast over groomers and variable terrain. I think part of it was some back issues I've had, and a really bad crash on a nollie that I've done a million times before, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had any similar experience, or am I just getting older at 24. Maybe I just need to hit the gym again and get stronger, or maybe part of it is I'm mentally exhausted from work and school.

Still gonna get drunk and try the pondskim switch though.

I’m 18 but in the last two years I’ve broken my collarbone, dislocated my shoulder, and broken my foot. All of the sudden the thought that I might hurt myself crosses my mind a lot more frequently and I’ve def dialed back the send-o-meter

It was a tough season this year. I had a tough time keeping the stoke going with all the shit fuck conditions. But next year will be better!
When it comes to age, you just had more time to master the basics. I was 24 when I did my first cork 7 off a park jump. 33, sent a 50’ with a backflip. Your never too old, you just have better days and less better days. On the cold days, work the basics; practice them grabs and get creative. On the hot days, try something new. Build features that only take a few ski kicks, or better a booter. Take a pow day to build a jump with friends and try something new. You should get that feeling back.
Maybe get serious about touring. Go summit that highest peak and ski down safely. That too is like a good day at the hill, but in a very few runs.

This actually kinda makes me lol the more I think about it. Of course you wanted to ski pow on an amazing pow day. The feeling of floating in powder is pretty awesome. I’m not particularly inclined to jump on a powder day either, more the day after. I just want to lap and lap and lap before it’s gone.

When I'm weight training & stretching in the gym regularly it allows me to ski so much more aggressively, and I'm a lot more confident I won't hurt myself because I feel strong and hella coordinated. Im 23 so 24 really isnt that old ?!?! Also weight training as a preventative measure has helped me bounce back faster from injuries fosho
That being said having a heavy workload can really do a number on your mental. Esp working in a trade where you're doing physical labor all day, it helps to have good stamina so u can spin night laps after work and not feel bagged 24/7
