Attack 13 brakes

So everyone knows how awful the brakes are on these bindings, and I took a couple big switch landings where the brakes got caught up in the spring slush and got bent 90 degrees under where they should sit. I manhandled them all the way up to a point where they hardly function as they should anymore, but does anyone have tips to bend them back to a reasonable place?

attack 13 brakes awful? in my experience they have been a lot better than the brakes on most other bindings.

to bend brakes more easily you can stick the brake in a metal tube and use it as a lever

Idk just bend em back? If you can't the brakes are cheap. Also I've never had problems with attack brakes, they tuck in pretty damn far on the ski. Is your forward pressure and din correct?

I’ve skied my attack 13’s for 2 seasons and lots of switch landings and never had an issue, my buddies have way more issues with their pivot brakes

i bend my attack brakes here and there but not as severe as 90 degrees...but having ur boots clipped into the bindings and then just bend down and pull/bend the brakes up is a lot easier than taking your skis off and try to bend it

I don't think there is a consensus that attack 13 brakes suck.

Yeah it could totally just be some bad luck or something, just what I’ve heard from some other homies that ride them

no big deal, got em to a usable setup so I’m all good

I've had either Peak 12's or Attack 13's all my resort skis for at least the past 8 seasons. They've been the most reliable and consistent bindings I've ever owned.

I have the original attack 16s on my old skis and the new attack2 13s on my new skis. Both are really good and have a low ride height.



and the new attack 2s are really cool looking imo. I dont know why so few ppl at the resorts are rocking them.

All my skis have them on them now. I used to be all about the Solly STH, but attacks are usually a very good deal and ski real well. I have a fresh set of red ones sitting right next to me waiting for some new sticks to be ready.

Must be too wide of a brake size for the width of the ski as Attack bindings tuck in very well without bending.

What’s your ski width as Attack brakes fit skis up to 8mm wider than their stated width without bending.

I mean they've caught once or twice but mainly due to technique for me, if you land smooth they usually dont snag and ride out nice


Marker Squires on the other hand should not be landed switch, ive blown up at lease 2 pairs of them from throwing big 1's

I feel like pivot brakes are a hit or miss. some of mine have been so durable, others are so weak
