Are there any requests for info or pics of anything in particular?
onenerdykidI totally agree with you, especially with old school foam liners that take 45-60 minutes to do and had a high failure rate. This one will take you 20 minutes, including heating time.
In the time it will take you to bake and fit an Intuition liner, you can do a Mimic Professional liner.
SessionMy assumption given your sig is that you work at a shop that can do that.......
.MASSHOLE.I wish other companies made foam-injected liners readily available for their plug boots. I know Dalbello used to (maybe still does?) ship their top of the line, WC, 92mm last, boots with them but AFAIK no one else does. I assume most companies produce them but I could be wrong.
On an unrelated note, do WC racers use heated socks? I was talking with a fellow coach today who was rocking his plug boots despite the fact we were just having athletes run gates today in -5 degree weather and swore that heated socks kept his toes warm.
I managed to get some nasty frostbite back during my academy days so plugboots+standing around=no go, but I have to assume WC racers have gotten frostbite but somehow manage to keep their toes warm.
onenerdykidMost brands have foam injected liners for their race boots, but you usually don't see them anywhere outside of race shops. Mimic Professional will be unique in that we have the race side covered as well as our key all mountain boots, Ultra & Prime.
During training, racers will use heaters of some sort and also boot gloves (we make a specific "Boot Blanket" for the Redster boots that stays locked in place and you can access the buckles) but during the race they won't.
onenerdykidComplete boots will go for $850, Mimic Professional liners are $300, and Professional Dual Straps are $80
The new Hawx Ultra is about 100g heavier than the current version, with about 70% of that going into the shell and the rest into the cuff.
cobra_commanderShops need a sub $850 foam injected liner package like they need a $50 custom footbed...
...time to make skiing profitable again.
onenerdykidThis is going to be pretty cool, I hope you guys like it (just did a podcast with Blister that goes into deep detail). But we are making a new Hawx Ultra that is 25% more stable than its predecessor and creating a new "S-Works" level that we call the Professional Series- a no-holds-barred approach to building a ski boot with the best possible shell materials, best possible liner construction, and best possible power strap. There are Redster, Hawx Ultra, and Hawx Prime versions of complete boots.
The liner is our new Mimic Professional which combines heat moldable Mimic technology with our Redster foam injection technology that is used on the World Cup. The liner is heated in a Memory Fit oven so the Mimic technology will soften and mold to your body & shell and the liner is then foamed while warm to create the ideal next-to-foot fit. Everything hardens and cools together for the ideal interface to the boot. Liners are available aftermarket for Redster TI-STI-CS, Hawx Ultra, and Hawx Prime.
The power strap is our new Professional Dual Strap which combines elastic materials into our patented Dual Strap construction. The top half sits directly on the liner tongue and the lower half sits directly on the cuff. The strap can be adjusted to be as elastic/dynamic as you want or as direct/static as you want, and anywhere in between.

PretzleCloughPretty sure these are the new LINE TW pros I’m definitely getting these they’re so sick
tomPietrowskiJust think how sick it would be if the boots matched up really well with these.
TopsenSounds really, consider me intrigued.
Did I understand correctly that next years Prime Professional is the exact same boot as this years Hawx Prime 130S with a different color way?
So I could buy this years boot, and add the liner as well as strap later when available and if needed?
Also, how is the warmth in the foam injected liner? From the blister podcast I understood that the injected foam is softer than a "standard" foam? Does that mean easier on-off as well as better circulation?
tomPietrowskiNew professional series looks rad! Some very cool stuff going on there. But how the hell are you selling all that for $850!
soupI bet world cup racers have practice boots and race boots. Actually in typing that, that sounds stupid as fuck but it's crazy enough sport. They have three skis for one discipline.
animatorYOU HAVE TO STOP TOM
onenerdykidThanks, homie! I guess the Atomic US team is coming out guns blazing on this one haha.
.MASSHOLE.I know for a fact most have multiple pairs of boots, usually one for tech vs. speed events, sometimes even for different snow types.
I was more curious as to how they dealt with cold feet because I've never really seen anyone publicly endorse a certain product or such.

cobra_commanderThe absence of a Bentchetler 110 should be a fireable offense.
CalumSKILooks like the bases for next years 96s
onenerdykidI find the Mimic Professional liner to be as warm as our other liners. Actually, I am surprised how warm it is given its thinness. The foam that is used in the liner is a PU-based foam that is generally softer than what would normally be used in a world cup foam liner. This doesn't mean "spongy" but it doesn't mean "cement". It's just really comfortable. I wouldn't say it's easier to put on, but it's not necessarily harder. Feels like a normal 130 as far as step-in goes. Because the liner is exactly your foot shape, you don't need to buckle the boots that tightly, so your circulation should improve. I don't need to crank down on the buckles nearly as much with this liner.
JoergaActually, BDog Edgeless will have the same design as last season.

JoergaI was wrong. This was actually the new BDog Edgeless design. I was confused because I got a catalogue where all the new skis where in, but the Edgeless still had the old design. I got the final images and information now about the armada lineup.
All skis should be live tonight or tomorrow, working on it right now: https://prime-skiing.de/tag/produktneuheiten-2022-ski/?herstellername=armada
Edgeless lengths were right though: 164,172,180

animatorOhhhh sick!!!!
tomPietrowskiYeah they are like narrow snowboards, its going to be the new thing in snow sliding.
What boot does he have on?
animatorA Dalbello I think, unless he doesn’t ride for them anymore?
CatdickBojanglesLooks to be a K2 boot. Still waiting to see Full tilt project X but @tomPietrowski just keeps teasing us with k2s.
