So some inline skates have a v-cut in the back, which looks like this:
It's where the back of the cuff dips down. It lets you flex backwards more naturally and generally makes your foot feel less restricted.
Would this work for freestyle ski boots, possibly? Would it help or hurt with landing backseat, tail pressing, etc?
I figure if you land backseat, the lack of material around the back of the shin would have you apply less torque backwards, keeping you from washing out as easily. I don't really know, though.
