SofaKingSickdoes this work well, and how long does it take to determine you're good to go with a certain song? i've been wondering about where the line is, like what songs will work and what won't
i wish there were a way where you could pay to kind of license your use of a song that was commensurate with your use of it. as in, pay to use a song like a movie producer would, but pay way less because the movie is being broadcast to tons of people and prob being profited off of, whereas mine will just be on my instagram and get 200 likes if i'm lucky
Works perfectly well, generally takes less than a minute for your video to be taken down if the track is copyrighted. So I just scrap the idea of using that song.
I'm pretty sure it all depends on the label that owns the track, they ultimately make the decision if 3rd party companies can stream their music.
For example, I made a summer mtb edit with Sunflower by Post Malone. The 1 minute mini-edit got removed from Instagram almost instantly but the full edit still remains on Youtube. I think because Youtube's algorithm picks up the track and then generated revenue from my video will basically just go straight to their label (If I made many revenue, I got like 300 views haha). So it's a win-win for them.
