ConesForBreakfastI just demoed magnus 102s and jeffrey 96s and i ride kartel 108s which are the same as jeffreys.
The magnus was fun and felt a little better on the shitty jumps my mountain has, but it seems to have a higher swing weight than the kartels. But that may be due to them being 181 when im used to 171. They have a more consistent flex pattern, which requires more effort to pop out of, but boy do you pop. By the time i got to the jeffrey 96s, i was used to the length and absolutely loving it. The underfoot is stiff and thick but as you get to the ends of the slight camber, it gets much lighter and playful. I would say if you want to truly center mount a ski, get the magnus. If you want to be more versatile, get the jeffrey and mount 1-3 back depending on your preference. They can both charge all over the mountain while being playful af but I think the Jeffrey takes the cake in my book
flavourtownThey both seem like such amazing skis i might just get what’s cheaper, did you do any rails on either of them?
ConesForBreakfastYeah, they're pretty similar for rails. I liked the Jeffrey more on rails, but thats probably because i was used to the length by that point and they're like my kartels which im used to.
flavourtownThanks for all the help, i’m leaning towards the kartels/jefferys but again i think i’ll just get what’s cheaper
