Replying to Seeking general recommendations/advice on buying my first "nice" pair of skis.
Hey there!
My name is Eli and i'm located and ski in the pacific northwest. I would say i'm an intermediate level skier that skis groomers, as well as powder and tree runs. I like to mess around in the terrain park but my skill level there is pretty minimal. The skis I have now are some super old and outdated Nordicas that are pretty skinny and definitely just meant for groomers, though I take them everywhere.
I'm looking for a pretty well rounded ski that I can have an easy time carving on groomers as well as taking them through some powdery tree runs, so I guess an "All mountain ski"? I also have been wanting to learn to ski switch. I am 6'1 145 pounds. My budget is around $800 for skis alone without bindings etc...
I have done a little browsing online and have gotten some recommendations of companies to go with from some of my more experienced skiing buddies.
They recommended the ON3P Jeffery 108 or Woodsman 108, as well as the Icelantic Nomad 105s and the K2 Mindbenders 99Ti.
Would love any additional recommendations/advice you guys have.
Thanks!
