Could be a white sole boot and gives the illusion of a super stack height. That or he just got back from a sidecountry mission and forgot to take off his daymakers.

I think making the boot all black or white would be better. Once they're on the snow the white skate shoe design gives off the weird illusion the stack height is several inches off the ground. Could just be the camera though.

Some people like a high stack height, like racers, because it gives more leverage for carving turns. But yeah for park it sucks
