Replying to Snowboarder learning to ski
First of all i want to say not all snowboarders hate skiers and there is no reason to dislike each other. Ive been a snowboarder for 15 years and i would classify myself as very experienced. I dont scrape off snow, and half my friends ski. Any time you get after powder and have fun with friends is awesome its not a rivalry. Ive had my experience in the park learning 270 outs front boards and alot of fun tricks, hit alot of big jumps and had alot of fun. Now im 25 and havnt hit the park in a couple years. Living in new jersey skiing mountains with grass showing every winter now also doesnt help my case. I love ripping glades and doing pow turns but even taking trips up north weather is the ultimate factor. I love snowboarding and will never give it up, but alot of my friends ski and it is awesome. So long story short, i bought a pair of skis so i can learn how to ski in my free time in the poconos. Does anyone have good ski advice to learn from someone that can snowboard very well that wants learn about skiing as well. Although snow sports are similar i could use good advice on skiing compared to snowboarding. Thank you guys very much
