I just bought new skis for the first time off eBay and was wondering if I need to wax them or they come prepared to ski right away?

They're new new? Like no mounts? Don't wax em, ride them first. Some companies have badass base structure from the factory. Wouldn't catch me waxing a pair of moments or ON3P's fresh from the factory.

When I took my ARV into the shop to get mounted I put them up on the counter and didn't even realize I had cut myself on the edges. I was like where the fuck is all this blood coming from and looked at my index finger and I was just dropping blood all over the place. Dude asked if I needed a band aid, yea bro that would be chill. new skis typically come waxed from the factory but it is a very thin amount just enough to really get them to the shop. More than likely it'll be gone 1st day out. Who knows how long they've say on a showroom floor or in a dry warehouse. If you can i would wax them but make sure they are plenty warm to accept the wax.
