So my girlfriend I have committed to move into a new apartment . It’s my first time ever getting a place of my own (with my gf of course).
Our property management company is renting us a 1 br 1 bath apartment with garage access for $900 / mo. (It’s Bend I know).
This Friday we are paying our security deposit which is $1,500.... okay we had that saved up and we were ready for that we will be able to pay it and get our lease signed this Friday.
The company said “this months” rent will be pro rated to $430 we still don’t know if we have to pay a full Rent for NOV 1st or if the Pro rate amount is actually for November (hopefully) or if it is actually for October.
if it’s for OCT that’s shitty because we will only live there for 6 days in October) ... now I wouldn’t mind paying the pro rated rent along with the security deposit but it would suck to turn around and have to pay an extra $900 literally right after we pay everything to move in.
I get get paid weekly so no real complaints all I know is my pay next week will be slightly less than usual because I took yesterday and today off ( I should receive like $500)
Third possibility may be that we will have leniency to pay November’s rent like on the day we signed the lease (which is the 18th which we can do no problem)
what is the proper way to figure this out.
