What am I supposed to say to this guy?

So today I went to my local sports store to pick up a dope pair of skis for a great price. Im 6ft tall so I went for 179s as they are twin tipped and I primarily ski the park. The “ski professional” was trying to dissuade me from buying those skis because he says that pro skiers that ride Slopestyle and park have skis up to their chests and that the 179s are too long for me. I don’t believe this for a second. For example, Henrik Harlaut’s skis are like 10cm above his head. Is this guy right or am I? Im honestly confused at this point as I got skis that match my height almost perfectly.

BiffbarfK2's run true to length. Most other skis run short.


Its called pre/post rocker measurements.... good lord.

Pre/post rocker, even on full cambered skis? Perhaps you meant pre/post press of the ski. Regardless, I ain't wrong biiiiiitttch

CA17I compared the skis to me and I know for a fact I'm 183cm and the skis are the exact same height as me. So i think K2s run long.


Yah check blisters reviews nothing measures true to advertised length

im 1851/2 cm and all my 185ish skis are like a fin inch shorter than I

Some brands measure the material prior to pressing the ski and use that measurement for the length of the ski (Moment does it this way, and afaik most ski companies measure their skis this way as well) and is shown by "material length / pre-pressing length" below.

Some brands measure post-pressing (I believe ON3P does it this way, but could be mistaken), shown by the "straight tape pull" below.


This is why most of the "actual measured length" on Blister reviews are typically a little shorter than the manufacturers listed length, and why someone could be 186 cm tall and have a 186 cm ski that's shorter than them.

brotherdadThat "ski professional" sounds like a total jabroney. 179 is fine for someone who is 6ft, if not a little bit short imo.


This. I'm 5'11 and Ski 182's that feel great. Your weight and leg strength will have an impact as well though. If you're a lanky 6' a shorter lighter ski will feel better than a longer heavier ski as well.

I know this probably was meant to say "snuffed" but I like sniffed. Next time someone pisses me off I'm gonna lean in and sniff them, give them a really disgusted face, and just stroll off.

I meant sniffed.

When you go to choke someone out always sniff them closely first and then grab their neck.
