NS I Need your help!!!

Hey all!

I am trying to source a set of skis for a lady who has never skied before. She is between 5'2 and 5'7, pry around 100# and pry a foot 6ish. She is trying to learn to ski this year and I am trying to find a new lady after mine cheated on me and divorced me. We should all share the stoke and get everyone on the mountain so I am happy to pay for shipping. Help me help more ladies ski!!!

This article is worth a look.

In general, I'd look to skis that are on the softer end of the spectrum and that have tip and tail rocker. I would not recommend dumbed-down-race-ski styles (i.e., what most rental places stock as their entry-level options). They're typically narrow and get bogged down in any sort of soft snow, they can be difficult to turn without decent technique, the lack of any taper can make them hooky / grabby, and they don't do great outside of groomed snow. I wouldn't go super wide, but if you live somewhere that sees consistent snowfall / you aren't constantly skiing ice, I think something in the 90-105mm range is a good place to start.

May be in the minority but Nordica has a really good line this year. The Santa Ana is a good beginner to intermediate ski. You’d probably want something with a system binding just in case she comes and goes

That sucks about your girl man, but holy shit I cracked up reading that. Skiing might just be the one place I wouldn't want a girlfriend at unless she can ski as well as me or I really fucking love her. Fuck.

I think I've decoded the message. He doesn't actually have a new girl yet. The parameters he described are just what he wants out of a lady. In other words he is going to buy a pair of skis and then match a lady to them, rather than get a girlfriend and then match some skis to her. Hahaha his priorities are in order!
