TubeBrowhat r u talking about kid.
PxolarisI figured mentioning boulder would be enough but I am talking about CU Boulder, I'm gonna be a freshman there next year
WPochBoulderBRo?
CosmoDuffI’ll be there! I’m going into their Budtending program. Wbu?
PxolarisI wish that was a program😂
SuspiciousFishI had up to about 20 plants in a room with a 1000W HPS light in a vented hood at the Canyon Creek apartments by WillVill around 2008. Those were the 'Wild West' medical days where anyone could stack vague plant licenses then sell to dispensaries. We made a ginger brownie that were actually really popular and sold well. I can come teach some lectures as part of the Entrepreneurship program.
Also, congrats on the decision! Did you get a chance to check out the campus?
PxolarisThat sounds like a fun hustle. I checked out campus and I knew immediately

SuspiciousFishIt had some real highs a lows. The best was just chilling in the grow room under the lights surrounded but 6' tall Sweet Island Skunk plants when it was cold and dreary out. I actually used to study in there lol. The constant stress of being busted by the landlord or the Feds deciding to do raids etc kind of gets to you. I remember we were about two weeks from our last harvest and I got a letter from our landlord saying they wanted to show the apartment. The grow op was in one of the two bedrooms and we replaced the normal door knob with an external key lock. I had no other option than to leave the place and I put a note on the door saying, "Im sorry, my roomate had some things stolen and replaced the lock and I have not been able to get ahold of him today." Then I put a fan in the hall to cover the room noise. I just waited at the library for like 3 hours staring at my phone waiting for the phone call but it never came and my landlords never brought it up or anything. Luckily they liked me and really couldnt give a shit what I did as long as I paid my rent on time and didnt be a bother.
After all that, we got hit with White Powder Mold during the drying process and basically lost the entire crop. I will never forget the feeling of walking in the room and seeing the white powder everywhere and my heart just sinking knowing months of hard work went down the drain, it was like being a midwest farmer during the dust bowl lol
CU definitely has an awesome campus, lots of cool nooks and crannies to check out too.

CosmoDuffrecent grads have a weird sense of self-importance. like honestly kids who recently graduated are pretty useless and its not like employers are dying to hire a them, as opposed to someone with experience
Rum_HamAll I’m saying is employers tend to scoff at a CU degree in interviews.
theabortionatorPeople born after 2000 are in college now. Jesus fuck. Can I retire and collect social security yet? Fuck I feel old.

CosmoDuffi studied "budtending" at CU.
SuspiciousFishI have had 3 job interviews since graduating CU with a Business Degree and an Entrepreneurship Certificate and landed the job each time. Two were Utah Insurance Brokers run by Mormons, neither scoffed at my credentials.
BiffbarfSomething tells me that the scoffs towards a kid from NJ who boasts about daddy's track bimmers weren't solely because the undergrad's from CU
SuspiciousFishIf you really want something to wrap your head around, we are going to be the last generation to remember life before the internet...
oldmanskiDamn, I am super old. My first music was on 8 track.
SuspiciousFishLol that reminds me, when I was in High School my buddy bought an old El Camino for cheap. We found out it had a Steve Miller Band tape in the 8 track player so we decided to just leave it in and play it every time he drove it to school.
