Anyone know the difference between the scream 1080 and the 1080?

Just wondering if there is a difference between the two. Both look the same except on that stripe on the tails one says 1080 and the other says scream 1080. I know the 1080 is the first twin tip and is yellowish /orange. The scream 1080 is the same color and is identical.

not getting on your case mam, just asking. i don't remember what the difference was but i believe the xscream 1080 was like the second iteration of the 1080 back then...? idk. confusing name considering there was a 1080, an x scream, and also a 1080 xscream lol

why do you ask?

It was actually more like 21/22 years ago.i meant xscream 1080 vs 1080. Xscream were more like 23 years ago and not a twin tip.

I ask because I bought a yellow 1080 in 97/98 ish and just bought another yellow one but it says xscream 1080 instead of 1080. I’m injured for the rest of the season and can’t ski them til next season and was wondering if one was stiffer etc, or whatever,

I don’t have an Instagram account and wouldn’t want to bother him anyway. So the yellow1080 was first then the yellow xscream 1080 then the blue 1080 with the same graphics?

i think that's it, my memory is hazy on that tho so im not sure. i messaged mike d, idk if he's the kind of guy who will respond but if he does i'll tell ya haha

There's also a jf cusson 1080 I think it was black with the same graphics. Not many made I think.

i believe it was this:
1st gen:


2nd gen:


3rd gen was the blue 1080

4th gen got into the "spaceframe" and then they introduced the 720 as well.
