ZypherIf you're looking for a charger of a ski for mainly side country and chopped up snow, look for a stiffer pair of sticks with a bit of nose/tip rocker. The tip rocker will help your skis not get pointed in different directions when in choppy shit and the stiffness will keep the skis stable in variable conditions. Now you need to ask yourself, how wide should my ski be? It depends if they're specifically a ski you are going to take out 3 days after a storm when its still powdery but all chunky or a mulitpurpose tool for skiing groomers/chop or pow/chop.
In my experience, I highly recommend the Moment Meridian 107 for just a variable condition crudbuster. Full rocker keeps the ski nimble in tighter areas and their dampness will keep you plowing through shit for days. Something similar but with camber for more snappy turns on hardpack would be either the Kartel 108 from ON3P or the Nordica Enforcer 110. If you're looking for a wider ski to take out on a pow day as well the Meridian 117s, Billy Goats, Wildcat/Bibbys, Athlete flex D'Riddim, etc.
