trillor get a footbed..., just creating more space to pronate into if you stretch it....
jodyrIf you pronate, you need that space. The ankle must be accommodated where it naturally falls in order for the bones to remain properly stacked so the leg can operate properly as a lever to bend the ski.
trillYea you will be dealing with a biomechanical deficiency even if you stretch the boots... stretching it wont reduce pronation just create room for improper stacking. Support will allow for the foot to flex in a productive manner.

OregonDeadWhy not both?
Get the room made in your boots. Also get foot beds. Seems like feet change too. I'm actually going to go in for a little more boot work tomorrow.
QuaffI have huge medial ankle bones and I just skied through the pain until the nerves died. Maybe when good boots and liners aren't $1,000 I can afford this sport.
tomPietrowskiBut if you probate then the bones will not be stacked until you get the foot back to a more neutral position. That can onl be done with the use of custom footbeds. Once you have the footbed correct you can create space it never the other way round.
Footbed then stretch if needed

jodyrA medial ankle stretch will do you wonders.
jodyrA footbed cannot change the fact that if there is no room for the medial ankle, it's going to get rotated in the boot. And there is no way you should give a flat arch any more support than as if the foot was standing on flat ground. Any more than that rotates the ankle and destabilizes the forefoot.
