15 YEAR OLD ASSAULTED BY 40 YEAR OLD, NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT. PLEASE RE-SHARE.

Long story short, a close friend of mine was skiing with a bunch of other friends and I yesterday (Sunday the 10th). He is 15 years old and is pretty decent in the park. He gets cut off on a jump, collides with the guy (40 years old) they both go airborne, and when my friend tries to get back up, the 40 year old guy is on top of him. He says “I don’t care if you’re f***ing 15 years old, you stupid motherf***er. The guy proceeds to punch him, and gives my friend a big gash in his lip from his braces.

All 5 of us (we were all witnesses) chase the guy down to the lift, follow him up the lift, and hold him at the top of the lift while I run over to get slope security. A I bring slope security over to the man, and he asks him for his season pass or a ticket. The man presented neither. Then all 5 of us tell the story and how my friend (Dylan) was pretty much tackled and punched. The slope security officer (FRANK LYONS) did absolutely nothing about this situation. Rather, he made both sides apologize (Dylan did not apologize, he did not need to anyway).

The slope security officer let a man away who
1. Assaulted a god damn 15 year old kid.
2. Didn’t even have a pass.

The slope security officer also did not even ask for the mans name.

ALSO, MANY MANY PEOPLE SAID THIS SIMILAR SITUATION HAPPENED TO THEM BEFORE AND HOW NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT.


My friends’ parents have already contacted police over the situation and they are handling it.

BUT,

NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT.

FUCK 7 SPRINGS SLOPE SECURITY
FUCK 7 SPRINGS AS A WHOLE (except park crew). YOU LET A GROWN MAN ASSAULT A 15 YEAR OLD KID.

YOU GUYS SHOULD HE FUCKING ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

Everyone go share on Instagram!! Go repost @dylan_jackson42’s story. And go comment on their recent posts. Us park kids are a tight knit family here at 7 Springs and we will not let this bullshit fly!!

SoAnGDo people actually believe law enforcement would make an arrest here? Don't get technical with assault is an assault garbage. That's just feelings/ego talking. They're not all equal. Ever see police arresting athletes for a game fight?


You're right, they aren't all equal. A 40 year old hitting a kid is much worse than two adult football players pushing and shoving.

For real. Bosses kid at this golf course I worked at looked like he was ready for retirement. Full head of grey hair with grey and white stubble. Unfortunate kid was 21 years old and he never got to grow up and be a 12 year old ski rat like a normal dude.

What was the context? I'm not calling you out, just wondering....I can't really imagine a situation where someone who is CLEARLY over the age of 18 ("looked like he was 50"). would state that after assaulting a clear minor. Especially since the patrol or whoever was so disinterested, I can only assume he didn't ask. I can also only assume that you guys didn't ask that question ("Hey man, how old are you btw?").

I had the opposite happen back 1999 or 2000. The setting was Crystal Mountain Washington (pre park). Just finished lunch, and was headed back to a homemade booter to session on my Line Mike Nick pro model skiboards. In the Lift line in front of me was a Drunk 40yr skier talking shit about snowboarders were little punks just sitting everywhere in the trail.
My 15yr old self began talking shit to 40 yr old. He told me he would see me at the top of the lift.

At the top of the lift I skated over to him on my skiboards (snowblades), and tried to get him to clarify his position and he swung on me ( a 15yr old at the time!). His punch lightly grazed my face, and a fuse was lit on me. I pummeled him with wide left and right haymakers, it felt like hitting air. After 3 to 4 good connections he was on his knees, skis still on, and his face was even easier to punch.
I was with a group of friends that witnessed the beating and stood in awe of my rage.

The 40yr old had one friend with him, who was snowboarding and apparently unstrapped and was going to baseball bat me with his snowboard, one of the members of my buddies stopped him with a tackle. After I realized a had drew blood on my burton outland snowboard mitts the top shack lifty came out, and me and my buddies got scared of getting in trouble so we booked it.

As we were booking it, in style of Chris Tucker in the movie friday, my friends asked the drunk 40 yr, 'How does it feel to get knocked out by a 15 yr old?" His snowboard friend just denied that I could of been that young, we laughed and hauled ass down Queens run with the fear of getting in trouble.
Took the ski bus back home later that day, I was the hero that beat of the 40yr old guy.
Now that I am getting close to 40 and drink a little, I can put myself in the drunk guys shoes. 15 year olds just make you want to punch them, but I don't act on it. I know the time I do, it will be some chubby chad want to be on skiboards (snowblades), and I might get my ass kicked.

Long story short as you like to say, you had a pack of hormonal teenagers with a combined age of over 40, that could of well defended themselves, and may of been well within your rights , but chose to take a beating and cry about it to us on newschoolers. Did I go make a post after my sweet fight when half of newschoolers were still skiboarders, no. It wasn't cool enough to post, either is your even.
Your lame post brought this almost 40yr old out of the shadows of a deep lurking. Check my member number. This is my digitally trying to punch whiny 15 year olds. When you turn 16 you are cool though.

Slope security come save me.

Picture if this happened but instead of being on a ski mountain, it was at a playground or a city park. 15 year old kid is playing frisbee and accidentally runs into the 40 year old, who reacts by punching the kid. It's pretty obvious the 40 year old should be charged in that scenario. So why is it so much of a gray area when it happens in a ski resort?

Teenagers can exaggerate stories, sure. But that's not up to the ski patrol / ambassador to decide, it's up to the justice system because yes, punching a stranger is a criminal offence. It doesn't matter if the kid was negligent by being rowdy on the hill, that doesn't negate the criminality of punching someone.

Issue resolved: saw the guy this weekend and got security, they took him into custody and I think police came to arrest him.

I said I THINK he was arrested. Slope security guys said said state police showed up after they took the guy down to the main ski patrol/slope security building.

NEVER embarass a father in front of his kids. Most dads will fight to the death rather than look weak in front of their kids.
