15 YEAR OLD ASSAULTED BY 40 YEAR OLD, NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT. PLEASE RE-SHARE.

Long story short, a close friend of mine was skiing with a bunch of other friends and I yesterday (Sunday the 10th). He is 15 years old and is pretty decent in the park. He gets cut off on a jump, collides with the guy (40 years old) they both go airborne, and when my friend tries to get back up, the 40 year old guy is on top of him. He says “I don’t care if you’re f***ing 15 years old, you stupid motherf***er. The guy proceeds to punch him, and gives my friend a big gash in his lip from his braces.

All 5 of us (we were all witnesses) chase the guy down to the lift, follow him up the lift, and hold him at the top of the lift while I run over to get slope security. A I bring slope security over to the man, and he asks him for his season pass or a ticket. The man presented neither. Then all 5 of us tell the story and how my friend (Dylan) was pretty much tackled and punched. The slope security officer (FRANK LYONS) did absolutely nothing about this situation. Rather, he made both sides apologize (Dylan did not apologize, he did not need to anyway).

The slope security officer let a man away who
1. Assaulted a god damn 15 year old kid.
2. Didn’t even have a pass.

The slope security officer also did not even ask for the mans name.

ALSO, MANY MANY PEOPLE SAID THIS SIMILAR SITUATION HAPPENED TO THEM BEFORE AND HOW NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT.


My friends’ parents have already contacted police over the situation and they are handling it.

BUT,

NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT.

FUCK 7 SPRINGS SLOPE SECURITY
FUCK 7 SPRINGS AS A WHOLE (except park crew). YOU LET A GROWN MAN ASSAULT A 15 YEAR OLD KID.

YOU GUYS SHOULD HE FUCKING ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

I just don't know how you can line up for a kicker and not see someone who 'cuts you off'

Idk about east coast parks, but every jump line I've been on if you approach from anywhere but the top of the line you're gonna knuckle it. Unless the jump is some sort of vert/quarter pipe somethin with multiple entries.

I'm being the devil's advocate. I know NS'ers 2nd fav sport is dickriding but this story is super one sided. There's usually 3 sides to every story. Yours, theirs, and the truth.

As I said, the old guy was in the wrong for clobberin the kid.

Yeah all I got out of this story was that the kid hit this old dude on a jump (which would really be the kids fault since he was uphill, unless the old dude was hidden on the landing which doesn't seem to be the case), and that old guy reacted poorly (by being a sack and hitting this kid instead of just telling him off). L's all around here.

regardless of whos fault the crash may have been, two things seem pretty obvious to me:
1. The old guy assaulted a kid who was 15 years old.
2. 7 springs showed remarkable ineptitude during the incident and continues to be unwilling to do anything about it afterwards.

So yeah, maybe the crash was the kids fault but that doesn't warrant assault. Fuck that guy and fuck 7 springs security

I will add that the kid never apologized. Also maybe a factor to why he got his face beat.

Kid responsible for crash then doesn't apologize. Old guy's in the wrong but I can absolutely see how his blood could boil after getting clipped.

I can't say I'd just be chill with some teenage kid clipping me and then acting like it's no big deal.

I forgot to add thanks for mentioning this. My friend immediately knew the guy was pissef and said “chill chill I’m 15 I’m 15 I’m 15”.

The main problem here is that my friends parents probably would press charges. But, they can’t if they don’t even know the guy’s name, and that is where 7 springs is at a huge fault. I think everyone here is more pissed at them than the 40 year old guy.

Yeah for real it sounds like they just did not handle the situation properly. Which is were the unrest is from... This is just a time where management can look into handling these problems in the future.

I agree, however the OP said the guy 'punched him' which I imagined was just a quick jab, enough to get a point accross.

I'm almost willing to bet if the old guy told the kid 'you could've really injured me and made me unable to support myself and my family' the kid would've skied away saying shit like 'chill bro'

Threads like this are the consequence of raising kids with the BS that 'violence isn't the answer' and then them thinking they can ski into someone, tell them to chill, and not get popped.

Im not going to defend the 40 year old but i dont really blame the security guy either. Seeing the way some kids act at the hill now that i am older i completely understand why teenagers never get the benefit of the doubt. I was probably the same way when i was 15, i would leave things out of stories that didnt help my end goal. Bottom line is i don't believe this is 100% exactly what happened and also the 40 year old is a giant douche and if he had charges pressed on him i wouldn't feel bad for him.

I see a lot of adults being just a stupid as teenagers but its never stupid because there older and wiser which is bullshit. I work as a lifeguard in the summer and trust me adults may even have the edge on who is more stupid based on the fact that they still cant figure shit out after living twice as long. I had a lady ask me if the wind turbine was a fan to cool beach patrons. I walked away thinking adults are getting dumber..... bring back natural selection. That being said How many 40yr olds really know park educate. probably about 2.5% if that. I had a guy snake me last second on a rail without even thinking if he fell I may run him over. Lets be honest theres about 500x as many 15yr olds that have more knowledge in the park then this old drunk fuck.
