wel obviously be able to slide the box no problem, and go on switch and what not. then when u feel comfortable just try like a 180 over the length of the box, then from there up it. spinning on isnt someting u can really give that much advice for- you just gotta go for it, see what youre doing wrong, then ask questions about that.

Spinning of boxes is a bit tricky.. I find it harder to do than spinning of rails unless you have some sort of motion started already. So, if you do a 270 on or go switch on you'll find your body already rotating around and spinning off will feel really natural. If you just slide it regular, you'll probably have trouble spinning off since it has very little friction.
Spinning on a box feels wicked cool, you gotta get on and set a good spin and just turn you head and follow through... I personally think it looks to cluttered to spin a 3 or a 5 on a box and then 270 out, pick one of the two...
