i highly suggest that you dont listen to some people on this site, like the kid who said 'cut wire means no current' cause even if the wire is cut, if your grounded, the current will go through you. And the kid who said not enough voltage to kill you is also dead wrong, Volts dont kill you, Amps do, and half an amp will kill.

I've electrocuted myself on multiple occasions. I have a tendency to hold the cable and put my fingers just onto the prong! It's so stupid I know but I do it often. Anyways, it gives you a pulsing and tingling sensation which lasts about 30 mins. You also feel sick to your stomach. Bottom line: Go for it, the worst possible outcome isn't too bad.

Oh story time!

When me and my brothers where little we would play a game called, ''Hide the Quater.'' So we would basically pick a room of the house (mainly my parents' because there where a lot of hiding places) one person closes their eyes while the other person hides the quater. Once hidden, the person who had their eyes closed had to find the quater. So we where playing one night and my brother decides to try and fit the quater into an electrical outlet. Well he almost got it in until he caused the fuses of the whole upper floor to blow out.
