Wearing a hoodie

yo guys I wanna wear a hoodie bc it’s steezy asf but should I wear under it to stay warm.

Its called layering you newb. Layer that shit like a sandwich.

For a base layer I go long underwear, usually silk but if your poor you can buy a poly-wool blend or find some rags in the thrift shop.

Then some insulation. Hobos prefer to use cardboard or balled up newspaper. Wool or fleece layers is acceptable too.

If your going to a light weight Hoodie your gonna need a lot of insulation layers to block the wind while skiing. You could wear a light weight windbreaker under our hoodie.

if you insist on wearing a soft porous hoodie on a cold or wet or windy day, at least throw a windbreaker on underneath

I mean a hoodie is generally a cotton mid layer that would collect moisture so I would recommend only wearing it when it's not that cold or snowy out. It's gonna get sweaty and wet esp if you fall. There are some tech hoodies out there that can repel water (like this: https://www.vans.com/shop/vans-x-independent-versa-hoodie-darkest-spruce-independent#hero=0) tho.

Wear Under Armour long underwear or a base layer that's warm and going to wick away moisture from your body. Ideally it will be mostly polyester.

Thanks for the opinions. I’ll was planning on wearing a black saga classic logo riding pullover and I think it has some dwr coating.

what about hoddie under outer layer like ur jacket or windbreaker. saw it in a fraction collective video looks steezy

if you really want to wear a hoodie, get yourself some kind of puffy mid-layer to wear underneath it.

Patagonia nano-puff hoody is the gold standard, but LL Bean makes a similar hoody for less than half the price.

check your local Saver's or something of the the like to get one.

I only wear a long sleeve tee then hoodie and then a tall t over the hoodie, or if temps are below 20 and potentially wet/snowy/windy i wear a long sleeve t, hoodie and then a large crewneck over the hoodie.
