The local middle school ski trip got cancelled and there was a bunch of 12 year old park rippers in the area. Long story short they found out the Saga HQ doors were unlocked and they all had at it.

Damn if only they had left some blue kool-aid fortnite potion drinks near the door they would have never bothered breaking in!
Their store/Wearhouse place is not in the nicest area of South Salt Lake. Probably some tweakers looking for something else in that area and broke in. Realized there was no copper wire or drugs and took clothing.
ButteredToast.Yeah they need a style facelift imo. More color options would be nice
I mean, I get it that everyone’s not digging the skittles outerwear recently, but it was just cool how they did all kinds of unique designs that set them apart and now it’s just O’Neil 2.0
It was real, not a PR stunt. I'll let them comment on this further but the thieves were so dumb, that they thought they'd be able to sit on it for a year and then try and sell it locally by listing it on KSL and on Facebook not 3 miles from where it was taken. Hah!
J_SAnyone else notice how saga stuff is just getting more expensive and boujee compared to a few years ago? I mean, $300 jackets, muted colors, etc.
Saga retail prices are very similar to their competition and they have numerous significant sales throughout the season. The colorways are just what's in style these days. Believe it or not but kids (and people in general) don't want tall tees and obnoxiously loud sweatshirts as much as they did back when the pros wore them ten years ago...
Crazy story though regarding the OP. Wonder how many other freeski based companies could withstand a financial hit like that out of nowhere

The shop by my house was completely robbed one night a couple years ago. They came one morning to open and the store was EMPTY. Took all the skis, the clothes, the MTBs. The only thing they left behind were the helmets.

so they must have been pro's too huh - Pro's don't wear helmets.

I would imagine this probably falls under whatever insurance policy they carry?

Insurance payouts don't hit the bank over night. It's never the permanent lack of revenue that kills a company. The sudden loss in liquidity will get you far sooner.
And that's assuming the business even carries commercial crime insurance/product loss insurance. Many name brand insurers will include this in an umbrella policy but the cheaper insurers that a small business might seek out may not.
