Encounters with pro skiers

Film.I rode the chairlift with David Lesh in 8th or 9th grade on Breck's park chair. Me being a young teenager I just straight up asked him "Are you David Lesh" he laughed and replied "Yes I am." This was right after he'd released Last Friday and I was starstruck but I tried to play it cool. Seemed like a really laid back humble dude from the few minutes I chatted with him about his STi, Virtika, etc. Didn't mind talking about his life with a stupid 13 year old kid, considering I probably asked some really dumb questions.

Park_RangerRode the chair with Phil Casabon when they did the demo tour. Didn’t really have a chance to ask him many questions because he was to busy asking me about the degree I was studying (was geninuly interested in learning) and about the local hill we were at. Extremely down to earth and humble guy

SteezMcGeeMet Phil Casabon twice, once at the Toronto Ski Show, and then again a year later at Taz Skatepark in Montreal. Dudes super chill, skated with him and shot the shit for a bit, and he even recognized me from the ski show when we were at Taz. Met Corey Vanular and Max Hill a few times as they are locals to where I grew up skiing,and met Tall T Dan at bush last year, at the down rails and double kinks jam, it was a super tight time skiing that jam, Dan is the man, he was hooking everyone up with Arsenic goods, twas a good time.

VISHNUI hung out with dylan manley yesterday and he made me carry his skis everywhere and light all his cigarettes for him

CLQWhen I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

CLQI saw Tanner Hall at a grocery store in Summit the other day. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. Standing in line for gadzoom 2 Saturdays ago. I see someone who looks a lot like cody Townsend but with super long hair. I see the dudes decked out in the newest Salomon and has swatch stickers so as I walk past him cause I'm in the singles line, i say, you look familiar. He responds, "guess". I say "Salomon everything plus swatch, I'd say you're cody townsend" he confirms and says I've got the right idea for 10am on a Saturday with my onesie and pbr in hand. I tell him he's awesome and a huge inspiration with all the stuff he's shot over the years. He thanks me humbly and I keep moving up the line. First pro skier I ever met, seemed like a chill dude.

fghtoffyrdmnsidk, what constitutes "pro" haha? Ive got some crappy joe stories but theyre not NS friendly material, used to kick it with bittner and boo a bunch when i lived in keystone (great fellas, great times), andy parry was my neighbor for awhile, I puked on tophaloafs floor one summer, and ive gotten pretty drunk with sober brad. Me and Wabs don't like each other, lol. Sammy Durk is a good friend of mine. The kid is a super nice dude, tall t dan is my man. This all seems like way too much of a claim but oh well, I lived on hood for 2 years year long and in summit for a year :)
