Haven't bought skis in ten years, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by the new terms, technology, and capabilities. Last time I purchased, I just picked up a pair of K2's and skied my heart out, but this feels like a real decision...
Heading to Whistler in a month, so while I need to be able to handle some powder and different terrain, I live on the East Coast in the USA, and spend the rest of the year carving through the ice.
I've been skiing for 20 years, so I'm comfortably between Intermediate and Advanced. We ski mostly blues, blacks, and double blacks in my family.
I'm 6'3" and 160lbs, so the 185cm length seemed suitable.
My local shop has them for $300 before bindings.
My main concern is how well these QST 92's would handle in powder in the optimal conditions to the hard pack/ice back home.
I've read a whole host of posts
on here and
elsewhere with
largely positive things to say in general, but I'm hopeful someone here will have some insight into the handling in various terrain.
Thanks for any and all help!
