El Nino

PowsideAn El Nino is coming this winter. Does anyone know how it will affect the season and which areas might get better snow than others?

Generally, during El Nino years (warmer oceanic waters in the Pacific) the southern Rockies and southern United States receive more precipitation but it's also warmer s. La Nina is the opposite where cooler oceanic temps shift the jetstream north slightly and bring more snow to the northern rockies.
