Newschoolers Fantasy Football Money League V.7

Football season is right around the corner and there is nothing better than some good ol newschoolers fantasy football. TheBearJew is stepping down from commissioner and I will be taking over for the season. The league will be a $25 dollar buy in, same rules as last year. 12 man league, snake draft, half point (0.5) PPR. For payment, we take PayPal, Venmo or Cash App.

Here is the list of participants from last year who have priority to return for this upcoming season. If there is an opening we will select from the waitlist to fill those vacancies. So if you are trying to get in on the fun make sure you post in the thread and remember it's first come first serve.

Honestly, the rodgers comeback while it was pretty funny to see the bears choke that lead away, Mccarthy should have let him rest the whole game out. It being week one, you don't possibly jeopardize your QB (who just signed a massive contract) and his knee health. Its only week one, this is the kind of stuff you try to do when its week 14 and you need to seal up a playoff spot.

And holy shit, collingsworth. I think he filled his pants up with cum last night. Chill out, buddy.

There's pain, and then there is "getting lit the fuck up by a 21 year old rookie QB in his first game ever" pain.

Shouts out to anyone who had Golladay on their fantasy team because at least he was trying, and its stunning Stafford still ripped out a few hundred yards, but that was probably one of the worst games ive ever seen him play.

They should have fired Jim Bob Cooter last season too, but Stafford has a good relationship with the guy and practically saved his ass. His playcalling was the culprit of many losses last season, one example I can think of is the SNF vs. Pittsburgh where he chose to go for it on a dicey 4th down play near the goal line instead of increasing the lead by 3 with a FG. That same play, Stafford threw a pick-6 and the rest is history. I blame stafford for being too confident in situations like that and JBC for being a disphit and not being conservative when the game is getting close. For fuck sakes, even casual Madden players can call better decisions than this dude. I still cant believe he chose NOT to increase the lead, it will always boggle my mind lol. Its kind of funny because while they figured out Stafford down to every single detail on MNF, some of those amazing comebacks we've had in recent years were the brainchilds of stafford in a way. Down to the wire, he can get pretty good at reading defenses without some dumbass OC like Cooter telling him what to do. You could literally see it on his face Monday night that Stafford had zero confidence in the plays that were being called to him. Sort of like a "Really, dude?" perplexed look on his face.

Yeah, Gotta give the Jets credit for doing their homework and research, though. Everyone got shot down on Monday night. It was pretty embarrassing. I know first year coaches aren't supposed to kick ass right out of the gate but holy wow, all this talk of the defense being beefed up in the offseason and it honestly looked like they were better off without the "improvements", almost like they got worse. But it takes a minute for new systems to set in. Offense needs to seriously re-work some shit this week, They are starting to become extremely predictable.

Definitely. And I don't think it will repeat. Especially now that Rodgers is limping, who knows if he will last a whole game next time he plays. If Rodgers doesn't play the wr's are useless.

If I can survive until Freeman and fournette come back, I did my best to be set for RBs but the position as a whole is so dry right now. I might be okay, but yeah logan's team is top dog for now

Looking for some advice for another league. Do I start Fitzmagic against the Steelers or Newton against the Bengals? Fitzy has been on fire and the Steelers D hasn’t been very good, only caveat is I already plan on starting Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. So do i triple down or stick with Newton?

If it were me I'd start fitz, fantasy is won by playing good players on good teams, right now fitz is both of those.

I would make the decision based on whether or not I needed a win this week. If you're 2-0 let it rip with the triple set of Bucs. But if you really need a win this week and you don't think your opponent is going to go off I'd play it on the safe side and start Cam. He could have a good too. With the RB's in Cincy banged up Dalton will likely have to throw a lot which could lead to a shoot out and you know Cam can get a lot done on the ground.
